About this house rental
This 1938 Dutch colonial beauty is rich in history and has been completely renovated and updated. Nestled just blocks from the ocean to the east and wooded parks to the west, this home is in the perfect location for all island activities. This historic home boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths with the capacity to sleep up to 14 people. Note: Towels and linens are not provided.
This five bedroom uniquely designed home is located only 4 blocks from the Boardwalk and the ocean, easily accessible by a multi-use bike/pedestrian trail just across the street. There is a fenced-in patio on the side of the house, and a deck on the back with an outdoor shower.
Every bed has pillows and comforters. Towels and linens are not provided for this property. Towels and linens can be rented from Seaside Linen. Total sheet sets needed: 5 Queen bed sets (includes sofa-bed) 1-Double futon bed, and 4-Twin/trundle beds.
The upstairs sleeps 10 comfortably and features 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen with en-suite bath with an adjoining bedroom with a single bed and trundle; bedroom 2 has a double XL bed; bedroom 3 has a queen bed; and bedroom 4 has a twin bed with trundle. Also, the upstairs loft has a double futon. The downstairs sleeps 4, a master bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite bath, as well as a queen pull-out sofa in the living room.
Rentals are flexible, with 3-night minimum stay. There is parking for 4 to 5 vehicles in the back of the property.

Monty Sly built this house for his family in 1938. The family lived in the downstairs and rented out the upstairs rooms during WW II to young wives whose husbands were in the service. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, romantically rich in history and close the beach this is your place!

Accommodations were fine and as listed. Enjoyed the property. Bad weather was unfortunate but so it goes on the coast. Would recommend.

“Carolina Dreaming” was once again the perfect place for our family beach vacation. Ruth and Debi make check in/out simple. The kitchen provides everything to make sandwiches, meals, or snacks. Just like home! The location is the best of a quiet neighborhood and access to the beach, restaurants, shops, boardwalk, etc. Each year we rent a golf cart to make it a snap accessing the beach, BRiTT’S DONUTS, or whatever!! The abundant space/bedrooms/bathrooms and cable tv assured the comfort and convenience for each family member. Many thanks to Ruth and Debi for making our Carolina dreams come true!!

Fantastic house with great location. We enjoyed our stay with plenty of room and a well stocked kitchen. Easy walking access to local fare and immediate drive access in either direction. The owner was very easy to communicate with throughout. Would absolutely stay here again.
