The modern Blue Aegean Villa, with it's stunning views, is in a rural setting yet just 1 km west on the coast road from the popular resort of Votalakia with its beach-serviced tavernas and bars. The resort has supermarkets, cafes and car hire but still keeps a traditional Greek village feel.

The cliff-top villa which, togther with the adjoining studio, sleeps six adults is on a small headland so has 180° sea views. There are five secluded coves within a few minutes walk, with the vast sandy and organised beaches of Psilli Amos and Votsalakia only a 20 minute stroll away.

On clear days you’ll be able to pick out up to 12 named islands including Fourni, Patmos, Arki, Lipsi, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, Farmakonisi, Agathonisi and Samiapoula. From the living room, front bedroom, veranda or side terrace you will see trees and fishing boats but not a single other building, unless, when it’s very clear, you count the monastery of St John on the island of Patmos 30 km to the south.

The villa is just a kilometer from the impressive crags of 1,434 m Mount Kerkis, a vast hiking territory with many kilometres of marked trails. Mountain and coastal walks are accessed on foot direct from the villa as is the cave in which Pythagoras is reputed to have hidden from the tyrant Polycrates.

There are 100 square metres of private, paved outside space including a roofed veranda, a large terrace with pergola with lounge and dining furniture and an outside kitchen,

The main house has the front bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite WC wash basin & built-in wardrobe.
The second bedroom has one/two single beds, chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe.
There is a family bathroom with shower WC and wash basin.

The third bedroom is a separate studio at the rear of the house with a double bed, a sofa and an ensuite shower room and WC. It has external kitchen facilities in a covered adjoining space which doubles as a utility area for all guests, with a washer/dryer, double sink and an additional fridge.

Unlike most Greek properties, all three WC's take toilet paper!

The spacious living room has high ceilings with the original rafters exposed and comprises lounge, dining room and modern well-equipped kitchen with full sized oven/ fridge feezer/toaster/coffee maker etc + all the utensils youu are likely to need. There is a small mezzanine above the bathroom used as storage area.

Every room in the main house boasts both a sea and mountain view, as does the studio, but not as obviously. All patio doors and windows are double glazed with insect nets and the bedrooms have black-out curtains. No need to fear a heatwave with efficient air-conditioning in every room!

The outside kitchen on the large covered terrace comprises a sink, water filter, dishwasher and double hob so you can keep a look out for the occasional dolphin pod while cooking dinner!

The front garden area, and large patios front, side and back, make it ideal for families or groups of friends who would welcome the option of seperate outside spaces from time to time. Beach towels, sunloungers and small tent are available to take to the beach.

The property is quiet at night. You will not have your sleep disturbed by cockerels, barking dogs loud music or other holiday-makers. Turn off the patio lights and the dark night sky is perfect for stargazing.

There is private gated parking for up to three cars.

Blue Aegean Villa is perfect for family groups or friends to relax together in the sun, or to explore Greece's best kept secret - Samos' rugged south west corner.
