About this house rental
Rest on top of the mountain and enjoy the Grand Views at Smoky Ridge! A few minutes from the Northern Access of Lake Glenville, this 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home has a galley-style floor plan with large windows designed for views in every room.
Although it is new to the rental market, Grand View has a healthy history of cherished family memories. Christmas trees planted by the owner as a child now tower along the side of the valley, and the decorations inside the house have been collected from the many places they've traveled over the years.
Vintage woodstoves are featured in several areas of the home: The eat-in Kitchen and Dining room that serve as focal points at the center of the home, as well as each of the 2 family rooms that provide space for cozy gatherings or personal relaxation.
The 2 bedrooms at the far end of the home both have King beds and their own attached bathroom.
Updated in Spring 2024: A 2200 sq. foot wrap-around deck featuring an open space to enjoy the view with plenty of lounge chairs. It also includes a large covered portion with a stone woodburning fireplace, comfortable seating, a gas grill and of course a flatscreen TV for the utmost outdoor enjoyment either with or without the sun.
All of this just minutes from Lake Glenville, in close proximity to several mountain towns (10 miles to Cashiers crossroads, 17 miles to Sapphire, and 16 miles to Downtown Highlands), as well as the many hiking trails that surround the area in the Beautiful Smoky Mountains of North Carolina!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

-For reservations that are 21 days or less. A reservation cancelled ( by email receipt) between 0 – 45 days prior to arrival is not eligible for a refund unless property is re-rented.
-If reservation is cancelled (by email receipt) more than 45 days prior to arrival guests are eligible for a refund.
Policy B
-For reservations that are more than 21 days. For any reservations that are more than 21 days, No refund will be given unless the property is re-rented.
ALL REFUNDS are subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost of the reservation AND the cost of any trip insurance or CC convenience fees if applicable.
*Refunds do not include third-party service fees as those are determined by the booking site and we do not control how those funds are processed.

Our stay at Grand View was perfect! Communication with the renter was quick and easy and the ease of check in and check out was super convenient. The house had a cozy feel. The view from the back deck was spectacular and we spent every night outside by the fire and under the stars. The local restaurants were yummy and the lake and waterfalls were just beautiful! Don’t think twice about this location! You won’t regret it!

We chose this property for the deck and views and it didn’t disappoint. It was super relaxing and beautiful. There were internet and phone outages for a few days due to weather which was generally fine but required a trip to town to make calls, etc.

The property and view are amazing. The owner and manager are great, the house is completely set up for a perfect couples getaway. Communication with the manager was very easy. I highly recommend this location for anyone who wants some seclusion with beautiful views close to awesome food and activities in the mountains.
