The property was nice and close to many things to do. There were an unusual amount of homeless nearby but i would put that on the church nearby that fed them which caused many to be in the area. The property itself was nice but is an old property with older property issues. The wood floors were very creaky and some items were not tightened down all the way like the upstairs bathrooms sink faucet. Overall this property was very nice. The projector was a lot of fun to use and worth it for movie nights or game nights. There was a decent space outside for activities including a big field across the street that was a part of the school there. We did get hit by hail pretty bad that caused some water leaks but the owners were quick to send someone out to check the damage out. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Just be aware that the age of the property brings along issues you get from houses that are older.

This was a great spot for our family. The house is split in a full upstairs suite and full downstairs suite. My sister, husband and son stayed upstairs and we stayed downstairs. Great layout. Fans and white noise machines in every room and less than 10 minutes from Garden of the Gods

Very nice arrangement. Cute, clean and had everything you need. I would suggest a gate across the stairs since you are dog friendly and the porch is so amazing. Also would help those with littles. Be aware bathroom is downstairs, but very clean and nice, beautiful sink, nice grill and outdoor area. Such nice construction and the "stars" above the bed a nice touch. We loved it and would recommend for anyone looking for a glamping plus trip. amazing. Also would

We had a wonderful time enjoying the outdoors and staying in the cozy treehouse style cabin. Our toddler had a fun time and loved taking an outdoor shower!! Everything you need is there to make the stat easy and comfortable! It was very beautiful and I hope to go back!

Hi, I needed a place to relax and get away from the city. I ended up going as a solo female and felt completely comfortable staying at this location. The cabin was lovely, neat, and clean. It was perfect for me. It was breath of fresh air literally.

I've stayed in many many properties from VRBO and others, and this place was SOO well thought-out!! From every little thing- I was super impressed!!! It's even nicer than the photos when you are there. We had an amazing time out by the fire at night and very much "glamping" vibes but it was really really nice!!!!! I couldn't believe how clean everything was especially considering a lot of it was outdoors, it felt brand new. AC worked well, I will definitely be back!!! XOXO

This was an amazing stay. I give it 99/100! The only thing I was left wanting was a skillet for cooking, there was everything you would ever need for cooking out doors (even 3 separate pots), just no skillet. Everything else about the stay was perfect! I’ll be telling all my elf friends they need to come to the tree house off Old Potato Road!

What a sweet and charming getaway! I appreciate all the special touches. They even have marshmallow skewers for making s'mores. Our six year old thought the outdoor shower constructed of recycled glass bottles was the coolest part. You'll love staying here with your family.

There is something for everyone to love here. We enjoyed the multiple seating areas outside and the incredible star gazing. Our six year old loved EVERYTHING, especially the outdoor shower! Our city dog was in hog heaven being able to run around free. We were in the area to visit the state parks and this property is easily located near both. Downtown Bastrop was so fun and the food was amazing! We can't wait for our next visit!!

What a wonderful experience!! My husband and I spent the weekend there for our wedding anniversary and wow we were impressed! You feel safe and secure the moment you drive up because it is gate (with code) protected! The view from the air conditioned bed room is absolutely breath taking at sunrise and sunset! There are seating options in the balcony and two wonderful hammock swings in the common area! The grill was easy to use and the fire pit was beautiful!! The host was wonderful! We will absolutely go back, we have found our weekend gateway spot from here on out!! Can't wait to bring our dogs and our son to experience this little spot!!

The Elf’s Aerie is a fantastic tree house. It is a must have experience. James is a great host! We enjoyed the outdoor hot water shower in an artistic building. We had a delicious on-site campfire dinner with our dogs Mickey and Leila. The tree house is at a convenient location, 4 minutes to grocery stores and 10 minutes to Bastrop Walmart, Buc-ee’s, and 2 state parks. We drove a Tesla for the road trip. The Buc-ee’s most current superchargers made our trip easier.

The Elf’s Aerie was exactly as advertised. It was easy to find and check in. The place was very clean and the outdoor shower was a nice experience. The restroom was very clean as well. Nice getaway, my husband and I would definitely come back. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body bar soap were provided. They even had some waters in the mini fridge. Coffee station well stocked.

Great experience overall. Pretty nice location. The house is beautiful and sits on a pretty nice lot. Restrooms are showers are downstairs and it makes the experience very fun. There are spiders and spiders web everywhere so you gotta learn how to deal with it bc its in d middle of d woods. We did have an incidents with neighbor dogs. My daughter and my wife went downstairs to brush their teeth and a dog attacked my daughter in the morning and since then my daughter decided not to go downstairs anymore. It was black bulldog with collar which decided to run at my daughter out of nowhere. We had to throw rocks at him to get rid of him . It was probably neighbors dogs or another visitor dog, im not sure. Anyway be careful when you are with little kids. You can’t leave them alone in the area. Since the area was gated, i was pretty sure i can let them go by themselves but I think I made a mistake. You gotta watch them at anytime. Host was great and very quick to respond. There were games , coffee and water in property. AC was working fine as well. We did have a short time to stay. We booked two nights but bc of our schedule we stayed one night only. Will certainly go back again to fully experience this place.

It was a wonderful get away. We got to watch the stars and enjoy the sound of nature. If we felt like going into town Bastrop was not very far and had wonderful things to do in town. the Paige farmhouse dinner was very close and delicious food. We cant wait to come back and try staying at the Hobbits nest

We booked the Elf’s Aerie for our daughter’s 15th birthday. She (we) loved it! The 3 of us were cozy but comfortable in the Aerie. Our stay was during a Texas heatwave so the air conditioning was a must and kept us nice and cool throughout our stay. Our daughter loves stargazing. If we would have allowed it, she would’ve stayed up all night roasting marshmallows by the campfire and gazing at the stars. The owners have seemingly thought of everything we needed for an awesome stay. We even loved the unique outdoor shower. The location is peaceful and rural but only 15 minutes or so from Bastrop. Highly recommend!

My wife and I with our dog stayed here for our anniversary to take a break from modern life. The interior is very nice, cozy and clean. The outdoor shower was great. Only thing i could critique is that there isnt any well kept grass for the dog to potty. We still managed but if you have a picky pup it may be something to consider.

We love the outdoors so being nestled in the trees was a great treat. If you're worried about this tree house being "unstable" don't be. I was very impressed with the quality of the construction, materials, and amenities. This is NOT one of those rentals where they recycled some old stuff so they could have a rental place. I believe that it's less than two years old.

We loved our stay here! The treehouse was very clean and as described in the listing. We enjoyed the fire pit, outdoor shower, and roasting s’mores! Our two boys enjoyed being boys outside…who knew rocks and sticks would keep them busy ALL day! It was definitely the perfect space to unwind and enjoy being together.
