About this apartment rental
This listing is owned by a retired Marriott General Manager. The goal is to provide unique and memorable accommodations that are a step up from what you would find at major hotel chains like Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott.
The basement apartment has a private entrance. As found in many hotels, the living room and bedroom are combined. It features Mid-Century Modern furnishings. A remote controls the whisper quiet air conditioning/heating unit that is separate from the rest of the house. You'll sleep soundly in the queen sized bed that has luxurious Sateen sheets. The kitchenette includes sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and flatware. A private modern bath features an Industrial Chic design. You'll have access to secure fast WiFi. Street parking is available. A unique key code will be issued prior to check in. The apartment is located in the Sunnymede neighborhood, one block south of historic Wayne St. (where Knute Rockne lived!). It's 1.5 miles to downtown, and near many good restaurants and entertainment venues. It's walkable (but a long walk, 2.1 miles, 47 minutes) to Notre Dame but most guests take Uber or drive. It's located in a nice, quiet neighborhood.
It's hard to see all of what Notre Dame and South Bend has to offer in two short days. Extend your stay and take advantage of discounted rates on "shoulder dates." Send me a message for a quote.

Visited South Bend for the ND vs Navy game. Great spot, very convenient to the University. Quiet tree lined street. Parking not an issue. The basement apartment has its own entrance around the back of the house and felt very safe. Great outdoor lighting at night. The apartment is very spacious and cool decor. Host had water, fizzy flavored waters, fresh fruit, coffee and candies for me. Excellent instructions for the TV and heating/AC system. Bathroom super clean and modern with multiple options for shampoo/body cleanser. The host was very accessible in regards to questions. I would say best VRBO I have ever stayed at. Will definitely try to stay here next time I’m in town for a game.

This was one of the best vacation rentals I've ever stayed at. The apartment was very clean and well-managed. The attention to detail was fantastic, and there was everything we needed to have a great stay, including extra toiletries, information about the Notre Dame game/campus, and comfortable accomodations. I only had one minor issue during my stay and Steve went above and beyond in responding to it.I absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting South Bend or attending a Notre Dame game.

Steve has a very nice, very clean basement apartment where we recently stayed. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with extra amenities one does not typically enjoy. We appreciated the close proximity to ND and the beautiful neighborhood. Thank you, Steve, for a very pleasant stay.
