Black sheep cottage! Charming 1 bedroom cottage in peaceful West Allis

Our stay was a great experience. Dan communicated very well with us both before and during the stay. The upstairs bedroom can get warm on a hot day, but Dan offered to bring by an air conditioner (which we ended up not needing). I appreciated the flexibility to check out an hour late, and would definitely stay again if in the area. I recommend it!

We visited the Milwaukee area for the Brewers vs. Padres game as a group of three. It was a quick weekday trip, so we didn’t have the opportunity to use the kitchen, but the cottage appeared to have everything needed to prepare meals if we had chosen to do so. The cottage was very clean, well kept, and comfortable.Our host went above and beyond with thoughtful restaurant recommendations and kind welcome gifts upon our arrival. Communication was excellent throughout the stay — honestly one of the best hosts we’ve experienced . They were very friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely add this cottage to our list of places to stay again if we return to the area for future games.Even with construction around Milwaukee, we were able to easily navigate to the stadium, the Public Market, and downtown without significant delays.A couple of things to note, though neither would prevent us from staying again: the stairs leading to the main level are a bit narrow, so guests with mobility concerns may want to keep that in mind. Also, if you are a light sleeper, you may notice more traffic noise and sirens than you typically would in a hotel.Overall, this was a wonderful and cost-effective alternative over hotel pricing for our trip.

Black Sheep Cottage is a great place to stay. Very clean and close to all that is happening on Becher St. Dan is always responsive to any questions I will book again when I’m in town for business.

The host had great communication! Both couples loved the property. The only bad thing I can think of is both beds were a little too firm for us. And the muffins that were left for us were very welcoming.
