Sunshine On The Beach is a beautifully appointed two bedroom apartment located at The Sands resort right next to Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island. Sleeping a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children, this is a great option for family holidays.
The apartments elevated position offers unobstructed views of the ocean. On a clear day Great Barrier Island, Little Barrier Island and the Coronmandel peninsula can all be seen in the distance. The location is simply spectacular.
The apartment is modern and freshly decorated, with luxury touches throughout giving the apartment the feeling of a boutique hotel.
The master bedroom offers a queen-sized bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom with shower and bath. The second bedroom offers a split-king bed that can be separated into two single beds if required. Next to the second bedroom there is a second, smaller bathroom with shower and toilet.
The bedding was all recently replaced, with new mattresses, duvet inners and pillows. Beds are made up with crisp,white Egyptian-cotton linens. Bathrooms are supplied with extra-large bath towels and premium Forest and Bird toiletries for your comfort.
There is also a double pull-out sofa bed, which is perfect if you need extra space for the kids.
The kitchen is fresh and modern with brand new appliances and everything you need to create a gourmet meal, including a full size oven and cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer and nespresso machine.
The unit has two lounge areas, the area at the front is a sanctum of calm, with beautiful views of the ocean and a great space to relax with a glass of wine. At the other end of the apartment is a super-comfy snug area, complete with a two-seat sofa and flatscreen TV with Netflix perfect if you want to unwind with a movie at the end of the day.
High-speed internet is available throughout the unit.
Waiheke Unlimited manages several premium units at The Sands and can accommodate groups of up to 20 across the resort. If you have a large group to accommodate, get in touch.

Stunning views. Quite neighbourhood. walking distance to the water. Well equipped suite. No AC in the unit. Opening the window had mosquito encounters. walking distance to resultants, supermarket and gas stations. loved my stay

Absolutely beautiful spot with a gorgeous view of Onetangi Beach. We had a car but we were able to walk to cafes/ restaurants. Really comfortable beds and living space with really well stocked kitchen. Loved having a code entry rather than a key. One less thing to worry about. Would definitely stay again and self cater.

Stayed here before and had a lovely apartment. This time we arrived to scaffolding and limited access which we were not informed about. Our apartment was moved to another prior to check-in and it was not as nice as what we had requested. There was a significant lack of communication regarding safety of the scaffolding and we were harassed by 2 of the residents/property manager … a poor reception to our visit … considering reporting the lack of safety and signage to the building association as the property manager was extremely distressed so must be an issue
