We all had our own space, kitchen was great to cook in and I enjoyed sitting outside each morning looking at the ocean view. They even left us a thoughtful welcome gift! We enjoyed our time and it was close to everything we needed. The “sand” beaches were a very quick drive!

Great stay. Easy walk to the beach, plenty of room for our family of 5 (teen and adults). Great communication by property management and very reasonably priced. Also close to pool and hot tub. Definitely recommend!

This apartment was fantastic- met all our needs and then some for our Kauai vacation. As soon as you open the door you can hear the ocean crashing and we spent several sunrises and sunsets visiting the waves just a few steps away.The apartment itself had everything we needed. It was comfortable, well appointed, and blissfully air conditioned. We were so pleased with everything about our stay. Just as advertised!

Overall everything was great. The condo was a little more dated than what it looked like in the pictures and there was a bit of clutter in the closets and under the bathroom sinks.

Property met our needs and AC a great amenity! Condo was comfortable but could use an update in decor to make it more pleasant for a vacation stay. Could use a better more thorough cleaning between guests. Location on the island is great.

Our stay was lovely. The location was so close to PoiPu and the point next door offered a stunning area to watch whales and the sunrise/sunsets. The unit was great for our party of four adults and four kids. The AC worked well. The unit was fairly well stocked. The WiFi was good for some work. Could use some TLC for some cosmetic updates, but even then I would highly recommend this location. Communication with the property managers was smooth, prompt and efficient.

We (3 adults, 4 kids age 3-8) stayed for 7 daysPros: Really effective AC and fans, kitchen with the basics, comfy beds, a ton of towels, beach toys, etc. Property manager was responsive. The exterior was well maintained had wonderful views for the sunset Check out procedure was so simple that I felt like I was missing something.Without small kids, I wouldn't have had any major issues, but as a parent I would've liked to know the following:The condo was a long way from the parking lot, down a ramp and up two flights of stairs. Getting 4 kids to/from the car with groceries and stuff was a huge hassle. There weren't very many kid friendly (unbreakable) dishes, and not enough bowls in general). Most of the tables seemed to require coasters, and the sinks were too tall for most of the kids to use without help. Pocket doors with slats for bathrooms made privacy difficult. Minor cons: knives were dull, one of the bedroom TVs was missing its cable remote and streaming services didn't seem to work on it, the numbers on the stove were faded beyond legibility, and the range hood buttons seemed barely to work. None of these were particularly inconvenient, but still. No on site recycling besides redeemable cans and bottles and corrugated cardboard. Maybe that's common here? We had to load the rest of the recycling into our car and drive it down the road. Overall a comfortable place!

This condo was so well equipped. Enjoyed the clean pool, hot tub, and barbeque area..Well maintained property..A good choice for families. Easily fits 5 kids,and 2 adults.

The condo was very nice and included all amenities my family needed for our stay. It was centrally located around all our activities, and easy to get to. We especially loved enjoying our coffee on the ocean view balcony, while watching the sunrise! We would happily stay here again! Mahola, for a wonderful visit!

Beach, pool, and everything we needed for a great time together.

We were two families of 4 and had a great time here! The place comfortably fit all of us, we could cook most of our meals here, and the location was amazing; so close to the beach and great walking. The pool access was great too, and they provided beach/pool towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler, which we used nearly every day. The property manager was easy to contact and responsive, and made our trip smooth; they left a great welcome basket with extra keys, instructions, and local guides. We would definitely come back here!

This was our second "framily" trip to Kauai and staying at this specific unit-- the kitchen and living area allow us to cook our own meals and of course laundry in-unit is a must with kiddos! There are 3 bathrooms- 1 tub, 1 shower. Beautiful grounds, salt water pool and jacuzzi overlooking the ocean, mostly friendly folks who live there, and tons of small lizards to chase. And less than 10 minute walk to Poipu Beach! Note: a wagon is essential for hauling your littles and beach gear. We hope to be back to this unit next time!

We did not get original unit due to water leaks. Crew said alternative condo was substandard. Disappointing.

As we were told, the property at this time is under light reconstruction and it was not an issue. The condo was super quiet at night. Convenient & nice location in Poipu. All of the beds were quite comfortable. Shower head needs replacing in the 2nd bedroom.

Overall we had a wonderful trip! We have stayed at different condos at Makauena on 6 different trips to the beautiful island. This was the first trip we have had that did not stand up to the other condos we have stayed at. We had 2 families, with 3 kids total. For our size family, we loved the layout. Upstairs was a prefect kids sleeping area which had one full sized bed, a day bed and a trundle. We loved that it had so many supplies from beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, etc. One bedroom has a pretty small shower, which made it challenging to clean off, shave legs, etc. There was also not much space (dressers) to put away clothing in the bedrooms which I didn't even think about; but maybe not everyone uses that. There were some issues that I wanted to pass along to hopefully improve for the future. We planned on cooking much of our meals as we have kids and that is why we usually book a condo vs. hotel. Upon arriving and heading to Costco, we got a text that the fridge was not working in the condo and a new one would arrive tomorrow. They noted they put an apartment size fridge in for us (which was about half the size of a normal one). Because of this we could only put in our food - not beverages. This also meant we did not have an ice machine. The new fridge did arrive as promised the next day, however the ice machine line was not able to be setup that day. They returned the next day to fix it which was nice. We ended up spending extra money those first few days to get ice. The property could use a little love. The first day we arrived, it was very windy. We noticed one of the screens on the upstairs window looking like it was going to fall out. We decided to pulled it inside as it had broken off and was dangling. I told a couple people but it remained off the entire trip and we tried not to use the window too much which was a bummer as the upstairs can get warmer. Thankfully there were two windows upstairs. We had a little trouble with the kitchen equipment not working 100%. The stove lights did not stay on, they would flicker. All of the lettering on the stove burners were worn off and we could not easily read which burner would turn on and at what temperature it was at. This made cooking tricky. The kitchen faucet would not stay in the holder and wanted to fall out. Some of the bedroom lights would not work. Maybe they needed a new light bulb? We checked in and the main remote batteries in needed to be replaced.

Location is good with quick access to necessities and the beach. The property needs a good deep cleaning though. Interstellar is a great movie.

No AC in the unit. Be ready. The rest is great! We were surprised by all items provided for our use: everything in the kitchen, laundry, even beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment, games, toys for kids, etc.
