In Greek mythology, Erigone was the daughter of Icarius of Athens. Erigone cottage is located in the picturesque village of Vasa. The village took its name, which is of purely ancient Greek origins, from the word “Vassa” or “Vessa” that means “wooded valley”. The area of krasochoria where Vasa is located has a long tradition in wine making and the traditional restored stony houses dated back to previous centuries. The village is between Limassol and Trodoos mountains and 20m from Kourion.
