Art House on Anson features a split system in the living area and bedroom 1. Bedrooms 2-4 have been equipped with portable heaters. Underfloor heating (in all 3 bathrooms) and a gas fireplace have been appointed to provide extra warmth throughout the cooler months. There is also a ceiling fan in bedroom 2.

We recently stayed at this holiday house with a group of four friends and overall had a good experience. The house is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with standout features such as underfloor heating in the bathrooms and laundry, and a generously sized garage — all of which we really appreciated.However, a few issues detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. The main bathroom had a drainage problem in the bath/shower; I had to use a plunger to remove clumps of hair left by previous guests, which was an unpleasant and unexpected task. In the kitchen, we found a moldy bamboo steamer in the cupboard that should have been discarded, and the dinner plates were still wet in the drawers, which could lead to mold or hygiene issues. Several pots and pans were not clean and needed a thorough wash before use.The dishwasher door was also difficult to close — only one of us managed to figure out the correct technique — and the sliding mechanism on the kitchen rubbish bin was stiff and frustrating to use. Finally, the backyard lawn had numerous patches of dog poo, making it unpleasant and unusable.Given that the property was advertised as professionally managed and came with a premium rental price, our expectations for cleanliness and maintenance were much higher. A bit more attention to detail in cleaning and upkeep would go a long way toward making this a top-tier stay.
