About this apartment rental
A very bright, air-conditioned, and fully equipped apartment in the gated "Jardines del Sol" complex with a concierge, located a 10-minute walk from Ballena Rota Beach. Situated at the southern entrance to Costa Ballena, near the gas station.
The apartment, located on the second floor and accessible by elevator, consists of an entryway, a fully equipped kitchen, a laundry room, a living-dining room, two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds), two bathrooms, a terrace overlooking the complex’s pool, and a sun deck on the upper floor. Included in the price is a parking space in the building’s basement garage.
The terrace, accessible from the living room, overlooks the community pool and the Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club. It is furnished with a table, four chairs, and two armchairs, perfect for enjoying family gatherings at any time of day, especially during the incredible sunsets.
The master bedroom, facing west toward the community pool, features a small balcony and an en suite bathroom. It includes a double bed, two built-in closets, and a dresser. The master bathroom has a whirlpool tub, sink, bidet, and hair dryer. The twin bedroom has two single beds, two closets, and a window facing east with views of the paddle tennis and tennis courts. The second bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, sink, and bidet.
Bed linens and bath towels are provided with each stay.
The east-facing kitchen, with double-glazed windows, is fully equipped: refrigerator and freezer, glass-ceramic cooktop, range hood, oven, sink, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, juicer, and blender. There are frying pans, a griddle, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. There is a full set of tableware for 6 people.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the laundry room, which contains the washing machine and a sink. Also in the laundry room are an iron, an ironing board, a vacuum cleaner, brooms, and mops. It has a gas water heater.
Residential Complex and Common Areas
The residential complex is gated, and access is via a remote control that opens a gate for cars and two pedestrian gates. It has spacious common areas that include a swimming pool, tennis court, paddle tennis courts, gardens, outdoor parking spaces, and the entrance to the basement garage, where the parking space being rented is located next to the apartment, right beside the door to the elevator that goes up to the 2nd floor.
The complex’s gardens border the “Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club,” a publicly accessible course located right on the coast, designed by Olazábal, featuring 27 competition holes, 9 par-3s, and one of the most comprehensive and spacious practice areas in all of Europe. The Finnish national golf team trains at this course.
The beach is a 10-minute walk down a tree-lined street that provides plenty of shade. Access is primarily on foot from the surrounding residential developments and hotels (2), with a small regulated parking lot, making it a very family-friendly and peaceful spot every day of the week. At the entrance to the beach is the Costa Ballena Sailing School, where you can enjoy all kinds of water sports. Also at the entrance are the beach facilities provided by the Andalusian Regional Government (showers, restrooms, first-aid kit, lifeguards, warning flags, etc.). Like all beaches in Cádiz, the tides have a very wide range, and at low tide, they leave a recreational area stretching dozens of meters. There is also a beach bar where you can have lunch, dinner, or a drink at the nearest entrance, as well as another one open to the public at the ELBA Hotel.
The Costa Ballena residential area has a bike lane, and this is the most common way for visitors to get around. All the streets and avenues in the part of Costa Ballena that belongs to Rota—which was the first section built and includes the golf courses, where the apartment is located—have bike lanes in both directions. There are many types of rental bicycles available—single, with trailers, tandem, etc.—and several establishments that rent them by the day. Check in was easy with great communication. The grounds and facilities with padel & tennis courts were fully functioning and pool was crystal clear and fresh. The apartment has a great kitchen and utility. The only slight let down was the patio furniture was tired, the main bed was a queen double only & that the AC seemed to pump hot air (although we didn't persist to try to get this working). The owner has said they appreciated the feedback on these already. Oh and another plus was the underground parking space & clean and easy lift to the apartment.
