The Dauphin Island Estuarium is fun for kids and educational. You'll learn about the diverse sea life in the Gulf and in the estuaries and bays around Dauphin Island. The description does not do this property justice. It is very large with a huge main living/dining den area. All the bedrooms are a good size. The setting is far more secluded than many on Dauphin Island. Beach access a short walk. Nestled in dunes, not chock a block with other houses . Back porch and front porch both serene. Especially back porch. The beach itself is wide and water lovely . Early May I never saw more than 10 other bathers on the whole strand. The decor is sedate and very tasteful with nice prints and comfy couches . If you are a fan of birdwatching and nature walks, there is an entrance to Audubon nature preserve about 10 minutes away. Fantastic compact park with many trails. Had a very relaxed time.

The property was spacious and quiet with easy access to the beach. Home decor was basic but adequate and comfortable. Loved both porches! Problem with air conditioning was handled immediately- kudos to the owner! Would love to stay again!

What an amazing place! I truly enjoyed this island away from it all. The house is roomy, very clean, has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and elsewhere. You will feel spoiled living right across from the beach. Not crowded, the ppl are friendly and sounds of nature are great. I highly recommend!

We spent a memorable and enjoyable week at this property on Dauphin Island - house was as described, had everything we needed, particularly a quiet, beautiful beach right outside the front door. Host was outstanding and very responsive.
