The location of the house is great, easily walk to the lake and restaurants/shops. The house was very clean even though the furnishings & linens are somewhat dated. The house is over 100 years old so the floors are uneven and the bathroom is tiny. The mattress in the second bedroom, the lower double in the bunk bed, is awful. We had two people sleeping there and they rolled into the middle. The mattress is completely flat and really only satisfactory for a small child. We had an issue with something else and reported it and it was fixed within a couple hours. Excellent communication and service.

First off, the communication from the host from the day we booked until the day we departed the property was the best we've ever had at any vacation rental property. They alerted us that the property was ready and available to access earlier than anticipated. There were a few questions we had and within minutes of texting, we had answers. They were professional yet personable. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

The location is perfect. Right in town. However, not sure when the pictures were taken because the property did not appear as in the photos. The porch was dirty, the plants dead. Inside, the carpet was stained and filthy which made me wonder how clean the rest of the place was. The floors are uneven as if the foundation has shifted. Overall we had a good time, but the host needs to put some serious money into the place, or depict it more accurately.
