About this house rental

Group ready 6 Bedroom 2 Bath House on the East End of the Geneva on the Lake Entertainment Strip. This 2 Story House can accommodate up to 14 Guests with its additional sleeper sofa in the living room. We are located right next to the well know Anchor Inn. There is a short walk to all the entertainment of the Geneva on the Lake Strip. Geneva Township Park is just across the street offering Public Lake Access. The only thing this house lacks is a dining room. We have supplied 2 sets of TV trays for eating in the living room. There is a large outdoor common space with a wood firepit (wood provided).

Amenities offered by the pet friendly East End House E include: A/C; Wi-Fi and cable; A small kitchen featuring a Dishwasher, Full Size Stove, and Full Size Refrigerator. It is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils; Fresh linens for the beds, and towels are supplied in the 2 bathrooms. The outdoor entertainment space shared by the 4 other units features 2 wood burning fire pits and lots of chairs. There is your own stocked propane grill.

Check in is 4:00 p.m. and checkout is 11:00 a.m. Parking for up to 6 Cars is directly across the parking lot from the house.

Restaurants, nightclubs, amusement rides, live entertainment, arts, unique shopping, and arcades provide entertainment for everyone in your group, including the Tuesday concerts in Township Park.

• Play a round of golf at one of Geneva’s in-town or area golf courses. For family fun try one of the many miniature golf courses.
• Explore more than 20 Northeast Ohio wineries just minutes away. The Ashtabula and Lake County grape-growing regions produce most of Ohio’s wine grapes, giving our area the reputation as the state's finest. And don’t forget about our famous covered bridges.
• Arriving by boat? Dock within the safety of the harbor at nearby Geneva State Park. And Lake Erie itself has so much to offer: Book a sunset cruise or a fishing charter. Swim at the State Park or stroll along the beach, then take a ride on the Ferris wheel. There are several restaurants and wineries right on the lake, and our spectacular sunsets offer the perfect subject for photo enthusiasts.

Enjoyed our stay on GOTL. This property met our needs. Having 6 bedrooms was a plus. Property was clean, furniture and beds could be more comfortable. More hotel like than homey. Property owner was responsive and accommodating. FYI flying midges were mating in mid October, took us by surprise! Lake was beautiful and area had lots to do.

House was ready upon arrival and nice and cool. Plenty of towels for a large group. Easy walk into town, plenty of parking. Fire pit was stocked. Door entry was easy with a code. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at this property on the east end of the strip on GOTL, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While the location was decent, there were several major issues that made our stay uncomfortable.Firstly, the bathroom on the main floor was in need of serious attention. There was visible mold on the ceiling in the shower, which was not only unsightly but raised concerns about cleanliness and air quality. It was hard to ignore, and frankly, it should have been addressed long before our arrival. The outlets in the bathroom on the second floor did not work as well, which was a huge inconvenienceThe beds were another major letdown. They were unbelievably hard—like sleeping on a concrete slab. It was incredibly uncomfortable, and we ended up waking up with sore backs each morning. A good night's rest is one of the most basic expectations when booking accommodations, and this was far from it.Lastly, the kitchen had an unpleasant, lingering odor that we couldn't pinpoint, but it was bad enough that we couldn't comfortably use it for cooking. It seemed like it might have been a buildup of mildew or something similar, but whatever the cause, it definitely impacted our stay.Given these issues, we are requesting a partial refund. We believe the conditions were not as advertised and we were not provided with the quality we expected. I would advise anyone considering this property to be cautious and hope that these issues are addressed for future guests.

Pros: This location was pretty good, about a 15 min walk to the middle of the strip. There was an impressive six bedroom home, with two bedrooms which was perfect for the lot of us. There was plenty of towels, and the bathrooms had plenty of toilet paper. The kitchen was pretty well stocked too. There was two coffee makers, one was a kuerig and they had coffee filters there. You can tell they did a lot of work to this property and over all its pretty nice, other than a few small cosmetic things. ConsThe house had a lot of dead bugs around the house. We were by a lake, and we do expect bugs. These ones were long dead smashed on ceilings and laying around the rooms. We did have to contact the owner about the refrigerator, although I do think that it was working, however, we checked in Friday at 4pm, with drinks already frozen, ice in a bucket ect, and all melted in the freezer... We didn't trust anything in the fridge and left it in the freezer since it seemed colder. I waited until 11pm to message thinking it just needed time get cold. It eventually did about 30 hours after check in. May recommend that they turn it on sooner if they don't leave it on in between stays. We lost what we had in the fridge. Someone did come out to look at it but said to "give it more time". There isn't a table, so we did bring one with us, which we knew ahead of time because of the house description. All in all it was a nice house, we would definitely recommend staying here in the future.

Six of us did a family guys long weekend. Booked this because it had six bedrooms and was convenient as a central location for us to see a baseball game in Cleveland, do a fishing charter out of Conneaut and to play golf. Bonus was that it is in walking distance of the "strip" in Geneva-On-The-Lake so we could walk to grab a cold one, get a bite and hear live music. House was clean and comfortable but while it has a furnished kitchen, it may not be for those who plan to eat in as there is no eating area. Enjoyed the fire pit, stocked with plenty of well-seasoned firewood. Definitely would consider this propety for future trips to the area.

Overall this was a great place to stay. Very clean looks to be recently remodeled. Every bedroom had its own window AC which was nice in the July heat. Not far from the strip or Geneva state park. Far enough from the strip did not have to hear bikers revving to the moon.

It was overall a good stay. Small thing but really big. Curtains at air conditioner need hemmed. You want to close curtains at night, but they cover air conditioners, so they dont work as well at all covered.

We stayed here for a family get together. The house was very clean and well stocked with towels, washcloths, and hotel size soaps. I wasn't sure if there was a coffee make but there is both a regular coffee maker as well as a Keurig at the location. The owners were very good with communication and very attentive when the Wi-fi wasn't working. We basically were at the house only for sleeping each day but there was enough space for all 8 of us. There is plenty of space for a larger group if you put 2 in each room. There is a nice fire pit outside but we did not have a chance to use it since we were only there for the weekend. My GPS did not take me directly to the front door of the property but we did find it. My sister who used Waze and she was fine I used Google Maps.

My husband and I traveled to GOTL with our 2 dogs. The home was right across from a small park, which was great for walking the dogs. It was within walking distance to tons of restaurants/bars and a winery. A lot of the places were still closed for the season, but there was enough for us to do for a couple days. The house was clean and met all of our expectations. We will be back!

Booked this house for 14 ladies to partake in a bachelorette party and enjoy the views, the strip, and some wine! The house perfectly accommodated us all, 2 full bathrooms for the WIN!. The house was prepared with linens, toiletries, washer/dryer and ice cube trays! Even though there is no dining room table we did not mind at all as there are plenty of seating options, we kept our meals at the home very simple as well (pizza, chips, bagels, fruit, yogurt, coffee etc) Great location across from geneva twp park and walking distance to the main strip. The owners responded promptly and check in was seamless. Parking was plentiful and there is a dumpster nearby for all trash disposal. The outdoor firepit area is beautiful, although we did not use due to rain, there is plenty of chopped firewood available. We also enjoyed a wine shuttle tour with Sunset taxi! Highly recommend staying here for large groups and venturing out to see the sights and take in what this beautiful area has to offer. Will be back for a family and romantic getaway next!

This is a different 5 Star review that praises not only the great house(s) and check-in procedure, but the responsiveness of the owner / management group in resolving a late-night problem that threatened to de-rail the vacation. We had the smoke detectors go off just after midnight of the first night. Although we didn't have smoke in the house, there was an acrid smell that burned the nose and throat. We called the number on the VRBO sheet and a maintenance tech arrived in less than 10 minutes. He isolated the problem to a baseboard heater in the living room (faulty heating element or chemical cleaners used on the heater) and was able to get the alarm to shut off by shutting down the heaters. When he overheard us calling hotels to arrange other rooms for the night - we were uncomfortable staying in the house with the potential of an electrical issue - he contacted the owner and arranged for us to move to another VRBO within a quarter-mile, saving us the time and expense of a last minute hotel reservation. All of this was done between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. Any VRBO owner can have their property looking great at check-in. It takes a great owner / manager to have systems in place to resolve serious problems in the middle of the night. And the second house was an upgrade from our original rental. We will use this owner and his properties for all our future trips to the area.

We had a great stay. 6 bedrooms with a kitchen and living room for an incredible price. There was no table, but they have 7 folding chairs and 7 snack tray tables you can use. Each bedroom has its own tv with netflix and Disney plus. Kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans. The washer, dryer and dishwasher were great perks as well. There is a big park around the corner and is just steps from the cute town. Great place for a getaway.

We loved our stay! The place was very clean and had everything you needed. Great for a large group. You are in walking distance to the main strip and there is a cute park right across the street. Very easy check in/check out process. The only thing we had trouble with was if you even opened the oven once the fire alarm went off everytime lol. Other than that everything was great!
