Welcome to this beautiful holiday home that blends old-world charm with modern comforts.
Picture yourself surrounded by stunning stone walls and architecture that's been around for about 170 years, all while enjoying the calming sound of the nearby ocean. It's the ideal spot for either a family beach holiday or a peaceful weekend retreat!
A home with history Built approximately 170 years ago, this house was the family home of the Skerrit family for its first hundred years or so, lived in and loved by several generations. About 30 years ago it was completely refurbished, with care taken to respect its character, and the current onwer has owned it for the past 20 years. He's delighted to share it with guests who appreciate a home with real history.
The layout This two-story terraced house has two bedrooms downstairs: a twin room with an ensuite and a cosy double room, along with a communal bathroom. Upstairs, you'll find a spacious open-plan kitchen/living/dining area with fantastic views overlooking Lahinch Beach.
There's also a cool loft area with two single beds, perfect for extra guests or just spreading out.
Good to know: There's no private parking here, but you'll find on-street parking nearby.

Bedroom 1: Double Room – Double Bed (ground floor)
Bedroom 2: Twin Room Ensuite – 2 single beds (ground floor)
Bedroom 3: Twin Room – 2 single beds (Mezzanine Floor - 2 sets of stairs to reach this room)
2 Bathrooms: 1 Ensuite (electric shower), 1 bathroom (shower) on the ground floor.
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM.
Early check-in and late check-out can be requested during booking, but may be cancelled if we have a same-day arrival or departure. If cancelled, any extra fee will be fully refunded.
Your Stay Will Include:
Fresh bed linen and towels, and complimentary hand soap.
We do not provide toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner or body wash, or hairdryers, so please bring your own.
You will also have 24/7 host access. Please note that a €100 physical call-out fee applies between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM for issues that are not our responsibility, such as lost keys or party complaints. Fee does not apply to phone calls.
Families & Children:
Children and babies are welcome, but please note that our properties are not childproof. We do not provide stair gates, cupboard locks or other child safety equipment.
We do not provide baby cots or highchairs, but guests are welcome to bring their own. Adult supervision is required at all times, particularly around stairs, open fires and outdoor areas.
Please Bring:
Firewood or logs if applicable, toiletries and any baby or child safety equipment you require. We do not provide cots, highchairs, stair gates or hairdryers.
Please note that we cannot provide compensation for temporary TV or internet outages.

The location was great and the views were beautiful. The main floor was fantastic. The first floor though (bedrooms and bathrooms) had damp floors - damp enough to make your socks wet. Right on the beach and quick walk to pubs with great music!

This place is just like it is on the website, it's gorgeous.
Only one double bed in the 3 rooms.
Beds cannot be moved together due to the design of the frames - makes is difficult for two couples to share the house.
Only one bedside lamp
No hanging space for clothes.
Nowhere in en suite for toiletries or towels.
Towels are way too small and thin.
Noisy on Saturday night, with bonus of 2 people having sex on the bedroom window ledge.
Dead flies on main bedroom window ledge that had been there for a while.
Couldn't get the oven to work on the Saturday, Steven came over on the Sunday to sort. If the instructions were in the house we could have used it.
Flies on the inside and outside of the windows when we arrived. Apparently it's rare that this happens but it's due to the swell. This should be advised on the website
It is a lovely cottage and in the right location for travelling up the coast.
