Everything was perfect!

The house clean comfortable; set in large garden with several outdoor dining areas. Privacy was good. House easily reached by public transport (bus stop at top of lane). There is off-road parking. Narrow, winding footpath to beach from house - not suitable for pushchairs or people with mobility problems as there are narrow sloping steps down to the beach. (Easier access to beach is a few hundred yards up the road). Two bedrooms are in the main house (double bed is a water bed) and one bedroom and shower in a separate ’cabin’. Kitchen had most equipment you might need to prep/cook holiday meals. Shower good: good water pressure. NB - no baths (something to consider if you have babies/toddlers; also no crib or highchair - we had a 7 month old with us and managed okay but a cot would have been useful). There is a Netto supermarket in walking distance and regular buses into Gilleleje (nearest town). There is also a beautiful walk into Gilleleje along the coast. The beach is narrow and a mix of sandy areas and stretches of pebbles and boulders; it’s immaculately clean - but no beachside facilities which, we felt, was part of the considerable charm of the place. If you’re after beachside bars, entertainment etc, then this is NOT for you. Had a bit of an issue contacting host for access info - possible problem with Vrbo? - but all sorted in the end. Had an excellent break.
