About this house rental
Cypress cottage is nestled underneath our 100 year old twin Oaks very close to downtown Saint Augustine and to our beautiful sandy beaches. It is the main house of our duplex. Cedar cottage Is unique with Mahogany and pine floors, a large spacious kitchen with Butcher block countertops and Sunlight radiating through the double windows. Lots of room to relax. The private front porch invites you into a beautifully restored 1958 vintage style home nestled very close to Downtown St. Augustine. Sleeps 6 very comfortably. The back yard is shared with a fire pit and electric grill and seating. Events are permitted with a nominal event fee if all 3 properties are reserved.

We had a very nice stay here. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to every where we wanted to go. Beds were large and comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, everything was in working order and the living room was cozy. There was a little snafu when we arrived and two of the beds had not been made up, though it was past check-in time. I phoned our hostess who quickly came over and remedied the situation. I would definitely recommend this home. The only drawback is that there is just one bathroom. It was not an issue for the 3 of us, but might be for a larger group.

The location of this property is pretty convenient for the St. Augustine experience. Although right next to a bar the neighborhood was very quiet. The house is older and you can tell during your stay. However, there was a large amount of ants in the bathroom and the kitchen. For me it was not a big deal but for my wife it wasn’t her favorite. I think for my short stay it was just fine for the price.

The house was very cute older style in a nice established neighborhood. The mattress are worn to the point they need replaced. Limited linens available. Stained towels and bed sheets the most minimal kitchen utensils. The washer didn't work. Notified the owner she suggested that a light load. The water would run in but didn't agitate. But the worst was 2 family members died f I'm a tornado and I asked to cancel under the circumstances. But the owner asked for proof of death certificate..I own 2 vacation homes and would never ask of such a thing. Our family situation was all over the national news. We only stayed over night since we arrived late. Went to local hotel for the rest of our stay. VERY disappointed. St Augustine was amazing though.
