Overall I enjoyed my stay downtown Virginia. As someone that grew up in the area, it was fun to see inside the second floor of one of the buildings downtown (I always wondered what they looked like). The place covered my needs and the owner was always responsive. The door into the place was a bit of a challenge, but not really a surprise since it's an old building.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The location on the second floor above a defunct bar is a bit off-putting as you enter from the street level. But once you walk up the stairs to enter the apartment it is welcoming and exceptionally clean. The apartment has lots of unusual and funky touches that make it interesting and charming. It had everything we expected, needed and wanted. Communication with Leonard, the property manager was exceptional. He provided local dining recommendations and knowledge. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok, somewhere needs to say apt 116 above Magic bar- not 116 Chestnut st. We confused an old man showing up with suitcase in hand to his house- thinking it was our property.It was difficult to open door to go up steps with the code.Further, it took too long to get the Wifi code and the identity of the correct network.Queen bed mattress is awful hard- it is a body foam form. Very, very hard mattress.Loud downtown due to crazy loud drunks snd idiots driving their trucks like the Dukes of Hazzard.If we were college students or young career professionals, this would be a great apartment and living arrangement.
