About this apartment rental
The architecture of the house is typically Cretan, very bright, enriched with arches and pastel colors. The property is surrounded by an olive grove and all our apartments have a balcony with sea view. The nearest beach is just 10 minutes away on foot. Inside the structure there is also a large patio where you can read or simply relax by taking a coffee from our espresso machine, available to all our guests.

You never know what you are going to get when blindly selecting a home base for your vacation based upon pictures alone. The good news is that every expectation was exceeded staying at Luna Blu. The place is family run and it felt like we were a part of the family while we were there. The experience was friendly, clean, casual and always pleasant.
As far as the accommodations, things were top notch. We had a two bedroom unit and both were unique and charming. Lots of plaster work, including built in beds and night stands. Closet duty in each bedroom was handled by an armoire - we never felt like we needed more storage.
We aren't big on air conditioning, but there were nights it was necessary. Unlike most places, each bedroom had new, high capacity mini splits that could cool a room to sub 25 C in a manner of minutes. If you wanted to sleep under a full blanket, it is possible! We were always comfortable, whether using the breeze or the AC.
We like cooking in and the kitchen was better than most. The two burner hot plate was ceramic element which meant that cooking was a snap. Every pot, pan and other item you'd need to cook were there. No microwave, but it wasn't needed. The small refrigerator was adequate, but there was plenty of storage for dry goods. We were able to cook in every night we wanted to.
Bottom line: the place is charming and clean, the people are amazing and the location is fantastic for exploring the Eastern side of Crete. I have absolutely no reservations recommending Luna Blu.

We rented the apartment Sole and we were very happy with our choice. The apartment was clean and well maintained with plenty of space for our clothes, functional bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The two rooms are spacious and with comfortable queen size beds. Wifi is a little weak, but working outside on the terrace. The location is perfect if you want to explore the south east side of Crete, and the ferries to the beautiful island of Chrissi leave from Ierapetra which is just a 10-minute drive. The owner Iris was very helpful in suggesting tavernas and beaches to visit, and she addressed immediately a small problem we had with the apartment. You definitely need a car as the nearest beach is 15 min walk under the scorching sun. All in all a good value for your money. Recommended!

We stayed for one week in a La Luna Blu apartement in the small town of Ferma near Ierapetra. Iris did welcome us really nicely and helped us during the stay with advices for day trips to discover crete.
The apartment was really clean, spacious and lovely decorated. The olive trees and sea view were great.
We enjoyed our stay!!
