Frog Symphony! Sunsets! Beachfront!・Porch Swing Bed!・2x King Beds

Top rated by guests
Pinetop Porch just as the sun drops below the horizon. Our home was designed by local architect Douglas Kearly for his parents summer home.
The great room has a big comfy couch and two lounge chairs, all facing the 55in smart tv, which displays works of art when turned off.
Dining
Our fireplace is just for show - we stacked the wood to give a Dwell feel, which is offset by more traditional unpretentious design elements.
The kitchen has a full size fridge, gas cooktop and oven, dishwasher, and a full size sink that looks out through the porch doors onto Mobile Bay!

★"The location is perfect for beach combing and sunset views."★

★"By far, this home was our favorite. The house was GORGEOUS! Even better in person than in the photos!"★

★"There are a lot of listings that look great in photos thanks to trendy furniture or styling, but the reality doesn't at all live up to what is portrayed. Meanwhile, it is a very rare gem to find a house like this one - one that not only meets expectations, but delivers above and beyond with quality and an attention to detail that makes every minute spent there feel like an absolute treat. Jennifer and Dave's beautiful cottage by the bay was the most well-furnished airbnb I've ever visited, curated with the highest quality and style. Parachute linen sheets, gorgeous Schoolhouse quilts, wonderful pillowtop mattresses, not a single squeaky bed frame to be found, automated lights for perfect ambience at all hours, XL handspun cotton towels, Public Goods soaps, a Miele vacuum for easy cleanup, Loll design furniture, beautiful local art on every wall, and the list goes on . . . All this plus amazing sunsets, a stunning neighborhood, perfect location, and the most gracious hosts!"★

Everyone's favorite room is the screened porch and it's the perfect spot to watch stunning views of the sunset over Mobile Bay. It runs the entire length of the house and is furnished with a large dining table that seats six, an oversized cushioned porch swing, and a pair of vintage lounge chairs. It overlooks not just Mobile Bay but also a boat basin full of turtles, frogs, fish, and the occasional alligator. We keep several pairs of binoculars on the porch so you can get a closer look.

Two pairs of french doors open onto the porch from the great room. It has vaulted ceilings, a nice fireplace that is just for decoration and a spiral staircase that leads to the loft. The loft is a perfect retreat for the young and nimble. It is furnished with two twin xl beds and a window seat with a view of the bay.

There is a little office off of the great room that has a small desk perched in front of a window giving great views of the bay. It's a great place to work on your next novel, or even your first!

The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and gas stove with an oven and its full of pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The laundry room has a stacked washer/dryer.

One of the bathrooms needed updating, so of course we removed everything down to the studs. Now this bathroom has a brand new tiled shower, new toilet and new vanity with a wall mounted faucet. The second bathroom has a tub/shower that has been updated with a hand shower, more contemporary plumbing and a new toilet. It already had a nice white tile surround and cast iron tub. Both bathrooms are ensuite. Each of the two bedrooms has a California king size bed. The rear bedroom has a set of french doors that open onto the screened porch. The bedding is linen from West Elm.

We've installed an EV charger - It is a 24 amp 5.7kw charger and the J1772 Wall Connector is compatible with most North American electric vehicles. Tesla vehicles will require an additional SAE J1772 Charging Adapter to charge, which is included with Tesla vehicles upon delivery.

We decided purchase the home where we want to retire and for now, we're sharing it with you! It's just three doors down from our current house. Yes - we love the neighborhood so much that we bought another house just down the street. The home, designed by local architect Douglas Kearley, was built as a replacement for his family's original summer house that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. He sited the home perfectly to capture gorgeous sunset views from the back porch and all of the shared spaces in the home!

We've got room for two cars in the driveway - Please don't park on the grass! You can explore the neighborhood on foot, but the real star of the show is Mobile Bay - We recommend taking a walk on the beach at least as far as Red Gully (to the south) to get a feel for the natural beauty of Mobile Bay!

We live down the street so we're always available! When we can, we like to greet guests in person and give a quick tour of the house.

Our home, located on Mobile Bay, has stunning views of the sunset from the screened porch which runs across the entire back of the house. We love our quiet neighborhood on Mobile Bay. Montrose, Alabama, a registered historic district, which is nestled between Fairhope and Daphne on Scenic Hwy 98. You'll see kids headed down to the beach on bicycles with buckets and fishing poles and neighbors casting shrimp nets hoping for a jubilee. You can walk along the bay front beach to the north or south as far as your feet will take you. The sunset here is fantastic over the water. From the expansive 12x40' screened porch we have an extraordinary view.

There's room for two cars in the driveway.

Remember that you're staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If you need anything, reach out - we're just down the street!

MARDI GRAS
We're 20 minutes from downtown Mobile, home of the oldest Mardi Gras celebration in America. Parades roll from late January through Fat Tuesday - February 9 in 2027 - and Fairhope and Daphne hold their own parades just a few minutes away. The house is a quiet place to land after a long day on the parade route.

WINTER STAYS
Winter is our favorite season on the bay. The porch faces west for the sunset, the house has central heat, 598 Mbps internet and a desk looking out over the water, and there's a full-size washer and dryer in the unit - everything you need to settle in for a week or two rather than a weekend.

Excellent location in quiet neighborhood. Short distance to both Daphne and Fairhope to explore the shops and restaurants. Dave was great with providing all the details about the house and making suggestions on places to dine. Loved Ravenite Pizza and Manci’s burgers. Slept like a baby on the comfortable bed, but really it’s all about the porch. Didn’t want to leave that swing. Perfect for a golfing couple like us. Ticked some more courses off the RTJ Trail and enjoyed the Alabama hospitality. Definitely recommend.

Frog Symphony exceeded our expectations in every way! The private location provides the most amazing sunset view of the bay while still being an 8-10 minute drive to Downtown Fairhope. The cottage vibe is luxurious, relaxing, and cozy, replete with everything you might need—from a truly fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable swinging seat on the patio. The owners will welcome you when you get there and are quick to offer advice on how to use their lovely coffee machine or provide directions to the beach behind the home. The drawers in the kitchen were chock-full of helpful items like aluminum and plastic wrap, as well as a selection of regular and perfume-free dryer sheets for the laundry, which we found incredibly thoughtful. They even had a carton of cream waiting for us in the fridge for our first cup of coffee the next morning. Being serenaded by the frogs at night while reading a book on the patio was the perfect way to spend a quiet evening. A beautiful find—we hope to visit again!

The House was adorable, great, clean screened in porch ( upstairs only) wonderful.Problem- there is no bay beach front access from the bayside of this property or the house !!Instead right in front of the porch side of house facing what should be the view of the bay is a city drain off pond of shallow, Thank you ma’am stagnant water, totally overgrown full of debris overgrown and not maintained.Beside the property and fence you have to go through a gate on the side of the property to a path that has signage grass, ( and a variety of wildlife) that flows into the bay.We had no area to play or sit and enjoy the area from the yard. Only the upstairs porch. The Actual access to a very small section of sandy beach on the bay is actually a path you have to walk down beside the house and this stagnant water/pond which is an access pass for the public or neighborhood area, which others from the area also use. From the front porch facing the bay you actually cannot even see the bay in front of of you., maybe views to the sides.Objection to this is that the pictures shown on the website did not indicate or describe that thisPond area was so close to house and between the house and bay and unkept!Owner/host was very nice and while a refund was offered when we arrive -when you book a vacation and need to get away with your family,You have a car packed with food and kids - where are you suppose to go at 4:00 pm in the day?
