Property was clean, homely and welcoming, if a little tired in places. The location is perfect for relaxation, with spectacular views over the Clyde from the front windows. Shower was amazing, and the kitchen was very well-equipped for a holiday let. I didn't find any of the furniture particularly comfortable, but I guess that's just personal preference (eg. the bed was WAY softer than I'm used to). The communication from the owner was generally good, and there were some nice touches on arrival, with staples like bread, milk, eggs and butter being provided, along with some biscuits and preserves. The main - fairly large - gripe I would have with the place was that neither of us slept properly for the entirety of the visit. When retiring to bed, there was a loud machine noise coming from the adjacent property (faulty aircon unit, maybe?) which seemed to vibrate the whole room. Every night. Obviously this isn't the owner's fault, but it marred the visit nonetheless. We might have been able to make up the lost sleep by staying in bed later the following morning, but unfortunately, the shutters over the bedroom windows stopped two-thirds of the way up, with nothing covering the upper third. We were therefore awoken by bright sunlight streaming through the windows at around 5am every morning. Given that we had booked the trip to relax and recuperate from the noisy, hectic nature of city life, this was distinctly sub-optimal. I don't expect perfection from a short term rental such as this, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect curtains. It's a shame that this was the case because it's not a bad little spot overall, and there's lots to recommend it in terms of location and general feel, but it's let down enormously by a simple oversight that had us returning home sleep-deprived and exhausted.

A wee break away from the everyday with sea, mountains, forest ...what more could you ask. A welcoming hamper with food and info about the local area. A nice touch of leaving a drawing rather than written comments on leaving. Original and just what I needed

We spent 5 nights in the studio and had a wonderful time. The apartment is very thoughtful, modern and beautifully furnished. We were inspired by the view over the Firth of Clyde. We went hiking and stocked up from the local store, which is only a few steps away. The food at the nearby “Royal Innellan” was also very good. The public transportation was convenient for us. The studio was spotlessly clean and is suitable for all seasons. We would love to come back.

Cute little sea view flat. Welcomed with a hamper of goodies and basic food supplies which is always appreciated. Lovely light from from window and table to paint at with some basic art materials although you definitely need to bring your own. Tastefully decorated but a smell of damp was apparent and back of flat dark and gloomy. Quite a few ants crawling about. A good escape for 1 person but more for a tidy artist not an expressive, messy painter as not a real studio space just a table at the window. Glad it had internet access. Good space if you are working on smaller art works and just want some peace.

Everything I needed for my stay was there - it was wonderful The view is awesome The only small negative - If you take a dog, be aware you need to take it for a short walk to toilet - a grassy area about 100 yards away
