About this apartment rental
Beautiful, completely newly renovated (2019) and newly equipped apartment in a secluded location with mountain views.
Approximately 65sqm for up to 6 people
(2 bedrooms for a total of 4 people and a sofa bed 1.60x2.0m with topper in the living / kitchen area for the 5th and possibly 6th Person (child)
Above the town of Assling with all kinds of shops such as supermarkets, banks, restaurants, petrol stations, bakers, hairdressers
It is a 5-minute walk to the train station, from there you can take the Meridian to Munich in about 25 minutes and to Rosenheim in 15 minutes, then on to Salzburg ...
(i.e. you can also arrive without a car, if we can arrange it, we will of course be happy to collect you and your suitcases from the train station)
- You can drive to the Munich Trade Fair in 30-45 minutes
- After Rosenheim approx. 20 minutes
- To Munich by car approx. 45 minutes
- A good 60 minutes by car to Salzburg
- To the next ski area (Sudelfeld) approx. 40 min

Freddie was a great host, he greeted us upon arrival and explained everything about the place. He even brought us beers and chatted with us later that evening. Had everything we needed, nice, clean place to stay with great view of the alps. Hot tub was much needed after long days of walking in munich.Close to train station,less than 10 min walk although there is a little of an uphill walk to get to his place.

Stayed 4 nights during Oktoberfest and really enjoyed the experience of staying out in the country for the days we explored Oktoberfest/Munich! Although we had a rental car (due to the fact that we were exploring other areas of Bavaria before and after Munich), we certainly didn't need to use it on these specific days, as the train is very convenient to get into Munich! Just be sure to coordinate departure times to/from Munich with the train schedule, as during non-peak hours the train runs far less frequently. We timed leaving Oktoberfest just perfectly in the early evening so that we didn't have to wait an hour on train platform. On a rainy day, we decided to drive to the Aßling train station instead of walking, and parking is plentiful and very inexpensive - only 1 Euro for the day. The car was also handy to have when going into town to eat & pick up groceries, but there are a couple of restaurants and stores within walking distance for those arriving without a vehicle.
Overall, great host, excellent communication, and all the amenities needed for a terrific stay! Really appreciated the 2 beers in the fridge upon arrival (nice touch!) - thank-you! Will definitely stay again someday when we return to Germany/Oktoberfest! :-)

Wonderful place for a family in rural Munich suburb. Very convenient location, close to train station. Ideal for small family. Clean, well supplied.
