Escape to Mama Bear Cabin, a charming two-bedroom, two-bathroom haven nestled in the serene landscape of Monteagle, TN. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle or visiting nearby attractions like Sewanee or the Caverns, our cabin offers the perfect getaway for relaxation and adventure.
As you arrive, you'll be greeted by a lovely front porch with outdoor seating—ideal for sipping your morning coffee or enjoying an evening under the stars. Access the cabin easily with a convenient electronic lock, making check-in a breeze.
The first bedroom features an en suite bathroom that connects to a laundry room equipped with a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. This bathroom features a vanity toilet and standing shower. The second bedroom is a cozy retreat, offering ample closet space and a tranquil atmosphere for restful nights.
The main living area is an open concept design, seamlessly connecting the spacious kitchen and living room. The kitchen is a culinary delight, featuring plenty of cabinet space, a microwave, electric stove and oven, large refrigerator, and all the essential kitchenware you need. Gather around the dining table or enjoy casual meals at the kitchen counter.
The living room invites relaxation with two large sofas, providing additional sleeping space for extra guests. Enjoy your favorite shows on the smart TV, perfect for streaming after a day of exploring.
Step into our favorite feature—the beautiful sunroom! Furnished with a daybed that accommodates two (with a pop-up trundle), as well as a cozy sofa, this space is perfect for reading, unwinding, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds of nature. Watch as cute woodland creatures frolic just outside your window.
The adventure continues outside! From the sunroom, step out to your own private gazebo and fire pit, perfect for evening gatherings. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and create lasting memories under the night sky.

You'll have access to the entire unit & property grounds.
Mama Bear has its own driveway that comfortably fits two vehicles. Please reach out if you require additional parking.
Interaction with Guests:
We offer a completely contactless check in and checkout process for our guests. Please note our team is available 24/7 if our guests need an assistance. The quickest way to reach us is by calling or texting the number provided.
Other Details to Note:
🐻 Once booked, you will be receiving a text from our team from our 615 number with a rental agreement to sign. You will get a text with your access instructions the day before your arrival once this is signed.
🐻 Please note this cottage is located on a space with other homes, cabins and an event center. We ask that you please be mindful of your neighbors.
🐻 Regarding the unit: While the max occupancy is 9 people. Towels & linen are provided. Travel sized toiletries, a hairdryer, and handheld steamer are provided. The well-equipped kitchen features an electric stove, refrigerator, and microwave. A drip coffee maker and basic kitchenware is also provided. Guests are responsible to provide any additional amenities desired such as additional toilet paper.
🐻 Please note the sleeping arrangements are as followed. Each bedroom has a queen bed that comfortably sleep two people in each. In the sun room we have placed a day bed with a pop up trundle that can also comfortably sleep two people. There are three sofas in this home that comfortably sleep one person each if needed.
🐻 We do allow approved dogs with the collection of a pet fee. Please inquire for pet fees. Failure to have pets approved can lead to larger fees and possible eviction.
🐻 We are currently in the process of redesigning and refreshing the different units and grounds, so you may notice vendors and delivery vehicles during the day.
🐻 Check in is at 4 pm // Check out is at 10 am. If you're looking to check in early or check out late, we suggest booking the night before or after your arrival. Otherwise, to be considerate to other guests, we cannot guarantee that an early check in or late check out request will be accommodated. Feel free to arrive anytime after 4 pm.
🐻 Please be mindful of your surroundings! Bear Hollow shares a fence with a state park. It is great to be so close, but remember there could be critters in the area as we are located beside their home.

Absolutely Beautiful! We can't wait to return next year. The property owners were quick to respond to questions I may of had during my stay and I felt very welcomed the entire stay.

The property was very nice. We were there for a show at the Caverns and the location was perfect. We also enjoyed exploring the area!

The cottage was attractive and fairly comfortable. I was surprised there were no paper napkins or facial tissues provided. The tub was very slippery and had nothing to hold on to. I nearly fell several times. The cottage also did not display its name. There were 3 groups of people who came by because they thought the cottage was the office.
