Montmartre Flat With Eiffel Tower View

We have experience with rentals in the US but this was the first time we had rented one in Paris. The last time we were in Paris we had stayed in a hotel. This time, being there for Christmas we wanted a larger place to stay with our son. The owner was extremely nice but there were a few things that was different: There was no mattress cover on the mattress and the fitted sheet kept coming off during the night. Just didn't feel hygienic. We are use to both pillows and mattresses being in protective encasements. The owner lives at the location part time, so his food was in the refrigerator and freezer and his toiletries and medicines in the bathroom which is something we aren't accustom to. Again, he was extremely nice and he even offered the unopened orange juice to us during our stay. During our stay. he even reached out to us with some recommendations of places to go. The apartment is on the 5th floor and there is no elevator, so the treck up with luggage will be a chore but we expected that- you're in Paris after all. The view of the Eiffel Tower is WONDERFUL to see at night from the living room window. The apartment was warm so the heat was efficient. The bathroom is split into two separate rooms. There is a toilet and a sink in a small room on the left and then across the hall is the tub, another sink and a small washing machine. The shower head is not hung on the wall and you'll have to hold it while showering. Overall- very nice owner but just OK apartment.
