Historic Buzzard Roost on the Lake - Stay on Lake Tuscaloosa!

Looking to unplug but still want modern amenities? Historic Buzzard Roost is your place, enjoy this historic 1830’s cabin built of virgin timber. Relax on the porch of this farmstead where generations of “old buzzards” have rested after long days of working the farm. Secluded in a wildlife refuge, it’s only minutes from modern stores and restaurants and about 9.8 miles north of Bryant Denny Stadium.

This property is a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath house that can sleep up to 6 people. Inside you will find new kitchen appliances; new mattresses, bedding and linens; smart TVs; and updated bathrooms. The house is also stocked with board games for everyone's entertainment!

Rooms & Bathroom:
Master Bedroom: King with en-suite full bathroom with walk-in shower.
Second Bedroom: Twin over Twin Bunkbed with a Twin floor mattress under the bunk bed.
Common area/living room: Twin Day bed with access to the hallway shared half bath.
Outdoor porch: Full outdoor rustic shower.

If you cannot get enough of the outdoors, get back to nature in the new and peaceful outdoor shower! The wooden deck boasts plenty of seating and lounge chairs as well as a cozy screened in porch to relax and enjoy the surrounding forest and lake vibes. Outside there is a wood-burning fire pit where the whole family can unwind and roast s'mores, along with a propane grill. There is a dock down by the lake with a kayak too!

*Check-in time is 4:00pm CST, unless prior written permission has been granted by management. Early check-ins are available upon request, pending availability. There’s a $50 charge per hour, plus tax/fees. Please note, we are unable to confirm an early check-in until 24-48 hours prior to arrival as the property is still open for booking.*

*All reservations made within 2 weeks of date of arrival are subject to require in person Government Issued ID verification.*

*Please be aware that upon booking, you will be required to sign the Bama Vacation Rentals forms and submit photo ID verification directly with our property management company texting system called AKIA. This will also be the primary platform used for communication.*

*If your selected property offers the use of (trundle beds, upper bunks of bunk beds, roll-aways, futons, or flip sofas) these beds will not be made up in advance. Linens are provided and should be stored with these beds.*

*There are exterior security cameras located at the front and back of the property. These devices may not be tampered with, covered, or unplugged by guests.*

*For stays that are longer than 2 weeks, please be aware that you will be charged an additional cleaning fee. All properties are required to be cleaned and inspected every other week.*

*A maximum of two pets are allowed with a pet fee of $100 per pet. If you have additional pets, you must receive permission in writing from management and pay additional pet fees.*
