Access & Layout
• Exterior beachside stairs are the primary way to travel between the main floor and the beach-level floor and patio, including access to the interior living space
• A residential elevator is available from the main floor to the beach-level floor only and is intended for luggage, guests with mobility needs, elderly guests, or limited use
• Elevator does not access the top floor where the two king bedrooms are located
• Elevator operation requires a minimum age of 16 — not recommended for children under 16 to stay alone on the lower floor overnight due to exterior stair access
• Private beach access directly from the unit with part-time beach patrol
• Loft area in the master is not accessible to guests
• No pool on site
• Minimum rental age: 25
• Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 10:00 AM

The location is great. Awesome view and right on the sand. No need to get in a car or cross any roads to get to the beach. The unit is older so has some wear and tear but overall it was a great experience.

Loved our visit to Destin and the Captain's Quarters. The location was easy to get to and the view was magnificent. Our party of 10 had plenty of room. Direct beach access was fantastic. There were a few things that could be fixed - the smell of mildew that traveled home with us, replacing the rusted/mildewed vent covers, and the elevator. However, the maintenance guy, who we got to know well, was quick to fix the elevator issue, which was never much more than resetting a button. These were minor things in comparison to the great time we had. We are considering renting again!

Needs updating terribly. Needs new pots and pans, fix the elevator and please fix the bathrooms!
