About this house rental
Enjoying leisure time in beautiful Drenthe while also renting out the home—this is possible at Het Zwiggelterveld 139, located in “The Heart of Drenthe.” Currently, the home is both occupied and rented out.
The centrally located home has been expanded on the first floor to accommodate an infrared sauna and a modern kitchen consisting of two sections. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and an utility room.

This vacation home was completely renovated and modernized throughout 2022. The vacation home “De Kluut” is located near the large playground with a trampoline, zip line, mini-golf, bocce, panna cage, and a large lawn close to the reception area with a garden room.
The home
The vacation home is centrally located within the park, where children can easily make their way to the playground on their own while parents or grandparents relax in or around the home. It is a semi-detached home with a large garden featuring several terraces. There is a terrace in front of the home with an outdoor fireplace and a terrace at the rear with a view across the waterway. A large portion of the garden is fenced in, providing plenty of privacy and tranquility.
You enter the home through a small entryway with the updated utility closet, coat closet, and a door leading to the living room. The renovation took into account the beautiful large windows at the front of the house and the adjacent fireplace. From the couch, there is a lovely view of the garden, and the fireplace provides extra warmth on cold days.
Thanks to the kitchen’s two-part layout, you can easily and quickly interact with anyone playing a game at the table, reading a book on the couch, or simply relaxing in the lower part of the kitchen. You can also see everyone in the garden through the sliding glass doors and windows. The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, range hood, combination microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, and dishwasher. It’s a lovely spot to cook together in the evening or surprise someone with breakfast in bed.
The bathroom and separate toilet are accessible from the living room. Originally, the toilet was part of the bathroom, but it has been converted into a small wellness area. It features a walk-in shower, a wide vanity with a sink, and an infrared sauna. It’s a wonderful place to relax after a long walk in the woods or a bike ride. The first floor features a PVC floor laid in a herringbone pattern, mostly plastered walls, and black doors.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and a storage room accessible from the bedroom. The master bedroom has been enlarged by reducing the size of the storage room that houses the boiler. It features a beautiful box-spring bed where you can drift off to sleep comfortably at night. This room has neat walls combined with wooden paneling, allowing the space to blend seamlessly into the rest of the home. The same applies to the natural elements on the first floor.
The second bedroom has space for two separate box-spring beds, and from here you can see the roof ridge of the house, which gives the room a spacious feel despite its unique layout.
Both bedrooms have windows, one of which can be opened for ventilation.
In the garden behind the house is a separate wooden storage shed for storing bicycles or patio furniture.
The original storage shed has been incorporated into the house, and a skylight has been installed in the bathroom to provide additional natural light.
