If evidence of smoking is found inside the home or cigarette waste is left on the property, an additional $300 cleaning and deodorizing fee will be charged.

This home is in a great location in downtown Richmond. Close to great restaurants and surrounded by historic homes. The house was built in the 1900s so the charm was endless. We were comfortable and cozy. Some of the nooks and crannies needed cleaning (e.g., the upstairs kitchen ceiling fan and top of refrigerator, and the floor under the trundles). I also reached out to the owners several times (both through the app and email) during my stay with questions and they went unanswered -- luckily it wasn't urgent. Otherwise, it was lovely.

Older home since it's in an historic district. Really two small apartments combined in to one larger rental. Clean, comfortable beds; we'll-stocked bathrooms; excellent wifi coverage; 4 parking spaces in the back - house entrance in back also (easy-to-use entry key pads. Only two drawbacks 1. Lots of street noise (recommend providing white noise machines) 2. Cannot reply to owner using vrbo from emails she sends and payment process is more complicated because she does not have it set up through vrbo.

Overall stay was fine - it’s a duplex that has been merged into one unit, so there is separation between the floors. Communication with host was easy. We found the property to be fairly dirty (lots of hair, dust, floors were not mopped thoroughly, etc). We had small children, so the lack of clean floors was problematic. Did not appreciate that the onus was on me to report to host at beginning of stay (now I know) and when I reported it after the fact the host was unwilling to credit us a cleaning fee. Also, listing had not been updated before our stay to reflect that there was no crib, which we had planned to use.
