Welcome to Woods and Waters, a spacious and bright 4-bedroom home abutting Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, ME. We are Spruce Properties Bar Harbor, also available online at sprucepropertiesbarharbor.wordpress.com. Please visit our website to reach us directly or learn more about our properties.
Walk up stairs and enter a lovely, welcoming entryway with plenty of space for shoes and bags. The house flows into a comfortable, open living and dining area with a cathedral ceiling and skylights that fill the space with warm natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality knives, non-stick pans, and tupperware, and is easy to cook in while partaking in conversation in the living room/dining room. We have plenty of books and games to enjoy on the cozy couches, a breakfast nook that looks out into the woods, and a small upper deck for coffee or stargazing. I would describe our house as nothing fancy but comfortable and functional.
The first floor holds the living area, kitchen, half bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one with 2 twin beds and one with 1 twin bed. On the second floor are 2 bedrooms with queen beds, the laundry, washer/dryer, and a full bathroom. The master bedroom in particular is spacious and bright - enjoy birds-eye views of Champlain Mtn or star gazing through the sky lights.
Woods and Waters is located 3 miles from downtown Bar Harbor on one of the most scenic stretches of Route 3 passing between Champlain and Dorr mountains. Great property; even better host.Loved our time here and have no complaints. Clean. Well maintained. Felt like a home away from home.We visited during a very usual heatwave and really appreciated the host proactively taking measures to ensure we were able to stay comfortable.I will note for the benefit of others considering the property - I think the listing photos:a.) Undersell the house's interior (a bit). The photos make it look a little cramped; it does not feel that way in person. - but -b.) Oversell the property grounds (a bit). e.g., don't expect a private swimming hole to be in sight of the house.But, all in all, it was a great HQ for our Acadia adventures.

Great house, perfect distance from Bar Harbor. Secluded. The water was not what it was portrayed in the picture. Not a big deal for my family but I would not use it on the opening page.
