About this house rental
Summary:
This immaculate 3 bedroom, 2 level, architecturally designed home is approximately 600m from the sand at picturesque Moffat Beach and trendy cafe's.
The Space:
***Please note the house next door to Moffat Retreat will be getting rebuilt from October 2026 and can take up to 8 to 10 months. Therefore there maybe intermittent noise during this time. Due to this construction the boundary fence between the two properties has been removed as of now. There is temporary fencing in place until a new fence is built which will not be until the house next door is completed approx 12 months time).
There is also a fabulous hidden gem of a cafe only 100m away called 'One Block Back' that you will be sure to visit more than once during your stay.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with ensuite and open plan kitchen, dining and living area that opens onto the timber deck where you can sit and enjoy the refreshing sea breezes whilst overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens.
Downstairs are the other 2 bedrooms, bathroom, laundry with dryer and rumpus/ tv room for the kids, There is plenty of space to sleep up to 8 people. The bedding configuration is 2 queen beds, 2 king singles and 2 single fold-out beds.
Well ventilated with ceiling fans throughout, high ceilings and air conditioning in main bedroom and living area upstairs.
Features include dishwasher, microwave, free Wifi, dvd player and a single remote lock up garage.

Key Collection: Please note that after-hours key collection is now handled via a lock box located at the arcade side access to our office. If you are arriving outside of office hours or on a Sunday, you will receive a lock box code on the day of your arrival. For Sunday arrivals, the code will be sent on Saturday.
Linen
Bookings newly created after the 26th of September 2025 will now supply linen, however guests will still need to make the beds. If booked prior to the 26th of September 2025 guests will need to supply their own linen or hire for an additional fee. You will need to bring your sheets and pillow cases, towels, hand-towels, bath mats, face washers and tea towels. Alternately if you would like to hire the linen, we can arrange this for you for an additional fee

House was in a great location and a good size. Linen is provided but you do have to make your own beds on arrival and strip them before departure so something to be aware of. Pickup of keys is off site and so is return, it’s only about 5mins away but not as convenient as homes with a lockbox on the property and parking isn’t great where pickup is. The cafe “One block back” at the end of the street (2minute walk) is fantastic. Kitchen was well equipped, living area was great. Plenty of space for adults and kids and two families sharing the home. The one thing the house is lacking is curtains/privacy. While the natural lighting is beautiful in the dining area, the bedroom had the light beaming in early in the morning and the neighbours house is directly behind the upstairs room and the light from their backyard was shining brightly directly into the room late at night and it was difficult to get to sleep. You can also see straight into their house. Some proper curtains up in that room would make a huge difference. Overall though it was a really pleasant stay, it was very well priced, the communication with the host was excellent and we would definitely stay again.

Great house for a family of group of friends. Plenty of living areas to have space.
Two lovely bathrooms and house generally has a holiday vibe.
Only issues were nothing was supplied. We had to buy toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, and laundry powder.
When you are only there a week it would be good to have the basics available

I stay in a lot of properties throughout Queensland. I am total fed up with paying the money they are asking and there is always things wrong with the properties. Many things don't work or are in need of great repair. As property managers, please manage it. Fans can't be turn off, masking tape used to tape fly screen doors, needed a good clean, stuffy smell, apparently only cleans one a year. It gets tiresome and I don't want to keep complaining. You want us as guest to take out the rubbish, make our beds, etc where has the good old service gone???
