About this house rental
The Port Suite was beautifully redesigned, combining the heritage of a 1946 home with modern touches of west coast lifestyle. A stone’s throw from the Discovery Pier and all of the downtown restaurants, attractions and amenities. This unique and comfortable space offers a full kitchen including range and dishwasher as well as free onsite washer and dryer. This unit was designed and furnished specifically with the intent to create a memorable vacation or facilitate a restful business stay.
The space
This is the upper level suite of this beautiful vintage home, so you do have to climb some stairs to get to your space. It is fully contained with its own full bathroom and complete kitchen. The private elevated covered deck keeps you protected from the elements year round, while watching small marine traffic, majestic cruise liners as well as tugs with barges in tow, battling the Strait’s ocean currents. Cook up a delightful meal on the grill while watching the eagles sore to their nest across the road, as they screech for their next meal.
Guest access
You will have full access to your private suite and shared access to free laundry located on the bottom level. Currently the landscaping is not complete and there is no fence on the roadside retaining wall, so yard use is limited.

The upper suite and surrounding area definitely met our expectations… the space was clean, beautifully decorated and appointed and the neighborhood was close to easily walk to the pier, shopping and various restaurant options. The rooms were thoughtfully laid out, spacious and functional with lots of storage areas. The bed was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the covered deck during the rain and the BBQ worked perfectly. The hosts were very friendly and eager to ensure our needs were met and gave great advice on an easy forest walk. I highly recommend this wonderful spot to everyone and hope to return!

Perfect size for a couple, with a well equipped kitchen and fantastic deck to relax and watch the boats go by. 15 min walk into downtown and the harbour with good eating options.

Nicely renovated, well appointed suite with a great view. Listing rightly warns of the long staircase up to the suite. Also could be bothered if guests downstairs are noisy. AC in bedroom is a nice touch.

We had a wonderful stay at this great little apartment in a perfect location, just steps from the downtown core. The kitchen was well-equipped with enough amenities to easily cook our own meals, which was a big plus. The air conditioning unit, though small, was surprisingly powerful and kept the whole place cool when the bedroom door was open—much appreciated in the summer heat!The space is best suited for 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 younger children, as the sofa bed was a bit small for my two teenagers. Overall, it’s a comfortable, clean, and convenient spot that made exploring the city a breeze. Would happily stay again!
