About this house rental
Our 4 cabins are located in the quiet, but adventurous town of Dayton, MT and are great for groups and individuals alike. Each cabin is 2BR, 1BA, sleeps 6, and is located 1/2 block off the lake. Step off your water view patio, and down to the public swimming hole, take a walk along the waterfront, head out for a day of sailing, or sea kayak and hike around Wild Horse Island. Bike to Mission Mountain Winery, grab a burger and a beer at the Idle Spur, or head up lake to Tamarack Brewing.

This is a fantastic base camp to explore the surrounding areas. The house was clean and well stocked with dishes and towels. Bbq worked great as did the fireplace. Be aware that especially in cabin 2 the view of the water is obscured by a garage. If you’re plans are to fish off the shore, know that while the lake is just a hope skip and a jump away, you really need a boat to be able to get where the fish are. Swim area was wonderful and a lot of fun. Host was very kind and accommodating.Glacier national park is only an hour away and is worth the beautiful drive. There are other fishing areas and swimming places all around the lake that are easy to get to and enjoy. Ac units kept the house cool. All in all it was a great trip.

The worst part about this property was that we had to clean it when we got there. Literally wipe down a greasy kitchen, throw out garbage etc. Also, the blinds were broken and we had to tie them up for our stay which was not a big deal because I have tall children. Lol.
After we cleaned, we loved our stay and the house fit out needs. The fireplace was fun. The deck was a great gathering place. Loved McCall!
I use VRBO all the time and have never given a bad review. We are not complainers and can take a little dust. However, this went well beyond dust. . I reached out to ask for at least a partial refund on the cleaning deposit because we definitely left the place much cleaner than we found it. I was told that there was a transition, yada yada and end result was nothing was done to take care of the problem.
