Jewell Cottage is pet-friendly and located on 42 acres in historic Jewell. The property is home to the 1895 DA Jewell House, sweeping fields, modern event barn and pavilion by the river. Love Georgia history? The Jewell Cottage has multiple historic structures to view from the 1800s both onsite and next door, including historic Jewell Baptist Church, Jewell Schoolhouse and Rock Mill Methodist.
Guests will love exploring the mile of riverfront along the Ogeechee river including resident and migratory birds, fish, flowers, and local wildlife.
The cottage features 2 separate living units: The left side has a full kitchen, flat screen tv with DVD player, king sized bed, clawfoot tub, toilet, and shower. The right side has two pull-out couches, a flat screen tv with DVD player and Nintendo system, a bar-top, mini fridge, shower and toilet. Both sides have heating and air conditioning.

We enjoyed our stay on the Jewel House property! Lots of outdoor space to explore and lots of historical buildings to see on site. This property is a wedding venue, so there is a lovely pond, an even barn, and a river overlook that is very nice. The little cabin is charming and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable for our little family and had almost everything we needed. The king bed was especially comfortable. The owner was friendly and brought us extra towels and space heaters when we requested them. The family dogs were also friendly but took a few minutes to warm up to us. I think we must have stayed in the “off” season, though, because there were a few little things that could have been better. The house was surface clean at first glance, but it obvious it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a while. Dirty corners, spider webs, missed spots in the bathrooms, etc. Some of the dishes in the cupboards and some of the cupboards themselves weren’t the cleanest, so I felt the need to wash things before we used them. There were no kitchen towels or potholders in the kitchen and no washcloths in the bathrooms. Overall though, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again when we’re in the area if the cleaning issues are addressed.

Tiana and Patrick the owners are so gracious and wonderful !!! The wedding cottage was decorated lovely , private . We had two grandmothers who loved the rocking chairs in the porch and our 9 year old loved playing in the stream on the property . Our cat and dog loved the space as well ! This truly is a Jewell ! We will return .

If you’re looking for a quiet cabin with a lot of land- look no further!
We brought our 2 dogs and our baby and had a perfect relaxing weekend. Plenty of trails to explore. Tiana was a wonderful host. Everything was great!
