About this apartment rental

Located in the Bergisches Land—a paradise for hikers, cyclists, and motorcyclists—we are offering our 2-room apartment. The apartment is on the first floor of a 110-year-old Bergisch slate half-timbered house with a large garden and all the amenities. Cologne and Düsseldorf are within easy reach, and the Ruhr region is also nearby. The garden features a fire pit and is home to Mediterranean herbs, which guests are welcome to harvest. With a little luck, you might spot deer and squirrels in the garden.

We really enjoyed staying in this little flat. It’s a bit out of the cities, but also convenient to both Düsseldorf and Cologne, plus smaller towns. The village of Wermelskirchen is charming and nearby. Easy stop for restaurants, groceries, etc. Everything was very comfortable, the kitchen well supplied, etc. We highly recommend this vacation home. Be aware it’s on the second floor, if you don’t want stairs. Cute and spacious once you get up there, though!

We had two nights in the apartment, which is a good size. Well-equipped kitchen and central location on the main street in Hunger. This also means that there is heavy traffic noise when the windows are open - but not at night. There is a room with a double bed and a sofa in the living room, which you can fold out and sleep two on. It is not ideal when you are four adults and a ten-year-old child. Helpful and friendly landlord.
