My family and I decided to book a last minute Memorial Day trip to a cabin in Ellijay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! 5 straight days of rain did not stop us from having a good time. We spent hours sipping coffee on the deck overlooking the river and observing the beautiful nature surrounding the property … birds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, geese, snails, and even a heron! From every window in the cabin, the first thing you notice is green, and it's gorgeous! Trees from every angle. Thankfully, the cabin was clean and well stocked, as we spent most of our time there. We cooked, played cards and other games, read, and watched the Yankees and Knicks play on the large smart TV. The large couches had multiple recliners which fit our family of 5 comfortably. Only a few miles away was the center of town where we ventured out to dinner in between rain storms. Frida, Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza, & La Catrina were all unassuming but had amazing food! Abby's, a frozen yogurt/ice cream store, did not disappoint, as well! Fortunately, there was an Ingles close by where we purchased some groceries.Once the heavy rain arrived, we were so thankful for shelter back at the cabin. If there were ANY leaks, we would have witnessed them first-hand! Finally, when we did have difficulty getting through the neighborhood entrance at the gate, Amber (the property manager of our cabin) was quick to respond. Very grateful for her help and our time at this cabin. Would love to return some day!

The home was very clean and perfect for our family of four and dog! It was nice to access the indoor pool on a rainy day.

The cabin was roomy (for 2) but lacked kitchen items. For example, only 2 coffee mugs (and 2 smaller coffee cups). It had no glass glasses- only plastic wine glasses and high ball glasses. Sorry but plastic does not make for a relaxing drink. Also, the grills, outside seating, etc. have not seen "love" for a while. There was also no grill wire brush for cleaning the unloved grills. The outside assessory lighting (bulbs) did not work. Downstairs bath had a lot of sugar ants. Not that they bite, but is a bit unnerving to have them crawling all around.The bed in the riverside room was nice which is a plus. If in the area again, i would search for another place to stay.
