About this apartment rental

Stylish vacation rental with a loggia in “Villa B”

- About this unit -
Are you looking for something special for your personal or business stay…?
Do you need a break…?
Are you looking for an oasis of relaxation and tranquility…?
Do you want a homey atmosphere at an affordable price?
Are you looking for a vacation rental in Thuringia?
Are you looking for a very special vacation rental in Gotha?

This vacation rental on the first floor of the old “Villa B,” renovated with great care and passion, stands out for its open floor plan—see below—and a large loggia. It’s bright and lets in plenty of sunlight. Spanning 138 square meters, this apartment offers a stylish ambiance for up to four guests—thanks in no small part to a few classic pieces of furniture. The walls and floors are coordinated with a keen eye for color combinations: shades of brown, white, and dove blue create a calming, relaxing, and harmonious atmosphere.

From the large, covered loggia with its large arched windows, there’s a fantastic view of Gotha Castle and the Seeberg. This is the perfect spot: to start the day with a hearty breakfast, to relax, or to round off the day with a culinary treat. From the loggia, you can return to the modern kitchen, where a large table invites you to enjoy convivial moments. Here, in addition to the restored wooden floorboards (which, like
, are found throughout the entire vacation apartment), a time-honored tiled stove adds a touch of charm.
Restored sliding door & relaxation room.
Straight ahead leads directly into the living room. The old doors have been lovingly restored. A sliding door with a glass panel, in particular, exudes a charm that evokes times long past.
Two bedrooms – two bathrooms
Of course, there are also two large bedrooms: The first features a 1.60-meter-wide box spring bed, a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a 1.80-meter-wide box spring bed. The highlight: This room also leads to a separate bathroom with a tub, shower, and toilet. Essentially between the two rooms is another guest restroom.
Central hallway as a “distribution hub”
Guests staying in this suite enter Villa B through the covered entrance area with its arched architecture. This architectural detail is echoed in the loggia one floor up—when you step from the spacious hallway into the kitchen and from there onto the loggia. A preview of what awaits the visitor: this very special vacation rental in Thuringia, adorned with great attention to famous details.

- About This Property -
We warmly welcome you to “Villa B,” built in 1910. We, Ines Seyffarth and Peter Domnick, purchased the property in 2017 and renovated it with great attention to detail. The “B” in the name stands for Blödner, the name of a prominent family of industrialists in Gotha in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Karl Blödner built the house for his daughter Ella Bätz—it sits on a hillside, exudes an air of distinction, and is located close to the city center: Within just a few
minutes on foot, you’ll reach the historic downtown area.

- Location -
Gotha is THE starting point for discovering Thuringia. First mentioned as “villa gotaha,” the former capital of the Duchies of Saxe-Coburg-Altenburg and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha has plenty of sights to offer: In addition to its historic city center and the Augustinian monastery, Friedensstein Castle—including the Ekhof Theater—the fortifications (the casemates), which are open to visitors, the Ducal Museum, the water features, and the famous Orangery with its English Garden all serve as reminders of the city’s Baroque tradition.
’s court was frequented by Voltaire, Goethe, Emperor Napoleon, and Frederick the Great, King of Prussia.
Other major attractions include the Tivoli Memorial, featuring permanent and special exhibitions, where the SPD was founded in 1875. Also worth a visit is the well-preserved garden city neighborhood “Am schmalen Rain” from the 1920s. Not to be forgotten is the fact that Gotha was the world capital of mapmakers thanks to Justus Perthes. The new Perthes Forum, now a hub for research with an extensive cartographic collection, bears witness to this.
