A Place at the Beach is located in beautiful Atlantic Beach. This portion of Atlantic Beach has the widest beach on the island. This oceanview condo is on the courtyard side of Building L overlooking the playground, large pool with waterslide, and a great view of the ocean. Building L, where unit 210 is located, has an elevator and a coin operated laundry - both located very close to the condo. This condo is in a resort location with many amenities, such as: large pool with waterslide, indoor pool with jacuzzi, outdoor jacuzzi, playground for the kids, mini golf, table tennis, shuffleboard, corn hole, outdoor bowling, lighted tennis court and basketball court, gas and charcoal grills, picnic tables, gazebo with swing to watch the sunsets, and direct beach access. All needed extras are available for check out in the resort office from tennis racquets to corn hole bags.
A Place at the Beach offers free WiFi and onsite security.
The town of Atlantic Beach also has a very nice skate park, splash pad and playground a short distance from the resort.

Enjoyed our stay at A Place At The Beach. While the property is a bit dated....(I don't ever mind that as long as the unit is clean.) The unit, bathrooms and bedroom were clean and comfortable. The location and ammenities are very nice-(beach access and nice pool and property.) We had a wifi password issued that the owner was able to help us with. My negative is that the couch was extremely dirty and stained- to the point that we kept towels on it for our stay. If it were not for the couch I would have given 5 stars.

The resort had good amenities--indoor pool, outdoor pool with water slide, well kept grounds, etc. The laundry was in the same building as the condo which was very convenient. The beach was a short distance via a wood boardwalk.The condo itself needed a deep cleaning (heavy dust was on the baseboards with litter and dust under the beds). A 2023 magazine was in a bedroom. The closet only had 3 old wire hangers for clothes. There was so much in that closet that there was no place to put my suitcases or shoes. The main bedroom had only one nightstand with a lamp. (There was a ceiling fan with bright lights over the bed--not typical bedroom lighting.) Since this room is for a couple, a second bedside table and lamp are needed. I had to put my book and reading glasses on the floor. The bed had a mattress cover which made crinkling sounds. The kitchen/hall light was very dim to work in the kitchen. A fluorescent kitchen light was a naked bulb at my eye level which projected light to my eyes instead of to the counter. The kitchen cabinets need to be reorganized to find things and toss some items. The dishwasher didn't clean dishes well, so I handwashed items. I enjoy movies, so I picked a condo with a DVR. I rechecked the listing to be certain when a storm was predicted. An old DVR which didn't work was there. The host didn't know anything about a DVR indicated that I could just watch TV which was a major disappointment for my week long stay.

This property was perfect for two people. We love staying at A Place At The Beach because of the location, easy access to the beach and the many opportunities for fun activities. The condo was clean and has easy access to stairs. We had some difficulties with the key on check in but the manager's office was on top of it. Great customer service. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We stayed at this unit for 5 nights. Here are some observations made during our stay.
Pro:
A Place at the Beach “resort” was well managed. There was security and a good check in process. The pool, proximity to the beach and other amenities were great. Grills, basketball courts, etc were all great and in good condition too.
Cons:
This unit is not “recently remodeled” as described. Unless one would consider flooring and paint remodeled. It’s age shows everywhere else. Including the kitchen vent from the 60’s and AC unit that is ready for launch it was so loud. Don’t plan on using hot water in more than one location at a time. The TV’s were difficult to control and the instructions provided were not correct. We visited 2 other units while staying here. Both were definitely remodeled. This unit is far from it.
There is 1 elevator for this building and it is at the other end from this unit. Slow and small making it difficult to maneuver carts. The elevator was closer to the beach end, fyi.
No laundry in this unit but others do have available laundry. Their vents feed into the main walking areas so it gets hot and stuffy in the corridors.
Navigating the complex can be confusing but after a few days you’ll learn what stairs go where.
Overall:
I would stay at A Place at the Beach again but I would consider a unit other than this one. Cheers
