Willow Mountain Retreat did not disappoint from its description online. The property has amazing views from all directions. BBNP is so close to the property, but the propery alone has breathtaking views and places to explore! The stars at night were brilliant in the sky around Willow Mountain! The house was extremely clean, spacious and had the perfect amenities for the area. I think this has been stated in other reviews, but the road to the house is a bit challenging, so an SUV or something like that may be needed to make the trip up the mountain. We had an Expedition, so that was tested and survived on the road to the house. It made for an extra exciting experience!

This was our first trip to Terlingua to visit Big Bend NP. I could not have asked for a better stay with incredible views. The house was clean, beautiful and very cozy. We spent most of our time outside on the second floor and could not be more grateful we booked this stay. I would like to mention the drive up to the property is steep so any low clearance vehicle will be really challenging to drive up. We were in a sprinter van and it felt dicey going up the unpaved road but we made it. Our friends’ vehicle did not make it up the incline. This stay is totally worth the time. We had some friends of ours book another property about 8 minutes away and although their house was nice — it didn’t compare to the views we had. They said they liked our property way more.

Great House! Amazing views and it really is a secluded stay. It was a painless process to check in and check out. They are very responsive if there is an issue. The road into the ranch is a little rough, so make sure your vehicle can handle it. Gas grill is easy to use and the kitchen has everything for cooking.
