About this apartment rental

Stylish vacation rental—not just for fans of the Gründerzeit era—in the Hoppegarten racetrack community on the outskirts of Berlin, featuring exclusive amenities, 2 beds, and an extra bed if needed

Location / Site
The property is located in Hoppegarten on the outskirts of Berlin on Rennbahnallee, a street lined primarily with villas from around 1900, across from the famous horse racing track. The historic racetrack community of Hoppegarten lies directly on the eastern outskirts of Berlin and has become a popular destination in the eastern Berlin suburbs.
Hoppegarten is conveniently located along the Berlin-Warsaw long-distance rail line, has its own S-Bahn connection to downtown Berlin and Strausberg, and is also situated along the B1/B5 federal highway (connecting downtown Berlin to the A10 highway). The Berlin A10 highway loop is only about 6 km away, and downtown Berlin is about 20 km away. You can reach Berlin Central Station by S-Bahn in less than 40 minutes, and the new BBI Airport is about 30 minutes away.

Attractions
The Hoppegarten Thoroughbred Racetrack, often described as the “most beautiful grass racetrack in Europe,” has a tradition spanning over 140 years. Regular guests included kings and emperors, as well as stars from the UFA film studio and the world of sports—Hoppegarten is a household name worldwide.
The home stretch, over 1,000 meters long, underscores the uniqueness of this historic racetrack.
Extensively modernized and renovated in recent years—Hoppegarten, arguably Germany’s most beautiful horse racing track, offers thrilling equestrian sports in the midst of a beautiful park setting just outside Berlin. Every year, numerous race days take place, attracting thousands of visitors.
In addition to the racetrack, Hoppegarten has other attractions to offer: lovingly restored turn-of-the-century villas, Dahlwitz Castle with Lenne Park, two churches, several supermarkets, and serves as a gateway to the capital and vibrant metropolis of Berlin, as well as to Potsdam with its numerous sights and cultural offerings—and as a gateway to Berlin’s scenic surrounding countryside with its forests, lakes, and numerous restored castles and manor houses. For horse lovers, there are riding stables in the immediate vicinity; water sports enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy at the nearby Müggelsee and in Berlin-Grünau.

Description of the vacation rental
Fans of the Gründerzeit and historicist styles in particular will be delighted:
Situated on a large, park-like property in a quiet location, the vacation apartment is on the upper floor of a coach house that was lovingly and completely renovated in 2019 in the Gründerzeit style and is accessible via a separate entrance. The living area is approximately 52 m² plus a 4 m² balcony with views of the forest and garden. The apartment features a spacious living room with an open kitchen, including a dining table and three chairs; a bedroom with two beds joined by a continuous mattress (essentially a double bed) and an extra bed available upon request (see photo); and a small bathroom with natural light, a shower, sink, and toilet. A hair dryer is provided. In addition to interior doors, windows, and historic-style tiles, the living room and bedroom are stylishly furnished with original, high-quality furniture and tiled stoves from the Wilhelminian era, bringing back the flair of the 1900s. The entire apartment is heated by modern underfloor heating. A historic seating set, a large flat-screen TV (satellite TV), a radio, and free Wi-Fi ensure guests’ comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, stove, induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle. All kitchen utensils, such as dishes, glasses, pots, and cutlery, are provided in ample quantities. The kitchen features a dining table with 3 chairs, as well as access to the balcony, which has a table and 2 chairs, offering the opportunity to enjoy meals outdoors.
Bed linens and towels are provided by the landlord. Books and board games are also available.
The vacation rental is designated as a non-smoking unit. Due to the high-quality furnishings, guests are asked to treat them with care! Pets are not allowed. Use of the large terrace and garden is available upon request; ball games are not permitted on the property due to delicate plants.

Upon request, a nearly identical vacation rental with 2 beds is available on the same floor for a total of 4–5 people; price upon request.

There is one parking space per apartment on the property (not suitable for trucks).
