Outstanding hiking trails, world-famous ski slopes and wonderful excursion destinations such as the Krimml Waterfalls – the highest waterfalls in Europe – can be easily reached within a short travel time.

The Apartment Schmid offered by Steinbock Lodges also boasts a practical ski room, which can also be used to store bicycles. From the balcony, you are guaranteed a stunning view of the mountains. The bathroom has been recently renovated. Here, you will also find a combo washer dryer for all your laundry needs. The local bakery can deliver fresh and crispy bread rolls or even a whole breakfast directly to your door (for an additional charge).

Location:

Located in the picturesque small town of Maishofen, you are only a few minutes’ drive from the beautiful towns of Zell am See, Saalfelden or Saalbach. Top-class fun and enjoyment are what you can expect as you ski the slopes either in Zell am See or in Saalbach Hinterglemm – the choice is yours (the ski bus stop to Saalbach is only a few metres away from the building)!



Leisure activities:

The region offers some 270 km of prepared ski slopes in winter. In addition, there are a plethora of cross-country ski trails and hiking paths – snowshoeing anyone? In summer, the possibilities for leisure activities are wide-ranging with something to suit everyone – both young and not so young! Here’s an interesting one for you – have you heard of “Hike, Bike & Golf”? So, you cycle through 15 adventure golf stations and combine both types of sport in a unique and exciting way – a hole-in-one and then back on two wheels! If you are looking for a little more action, the wild world of white water around Maishofen is the place to visit. Have a go at white water rafting, it’s more than exciting! This is just one example of what watery adventures await you in this area – be prepared to be soaked!
