About this house rental
Podere Molinaccio is a luxury stone estate only 2 km away from the quaint medieval hill town of Panicale, built in the Tuscan tradition and completely restored and renovated to modern comfort and standards. The Podere is completely and ingeniously off the grid: heated, lit, and air-conditioned with solar panels.
This charming 19th century villa offers its guests a breathtaking view over Lake Trasimeno and the Panicale hills and it is the ideal location for those who wish to enjoy total privacy.
The property includes 3 acres of terraced olive groves, while the famous little village itself, with its shops, restaurants and open air market can be reached in just 15 minutes on foot along a lane that passes through woods of oak and chestnut, a stream, and up past a magnificent Renaissance church on the outskirts of village.
Podere Molinaccio is a great "home base" to explore both Umbria and eastern Tuscany, and Panicale is very centrally located: 90 minutes south by train is Rome, with Orvieto and other hill towns along the way. Just over 100 minutes north by train is Florence.
By car, you can easily drive to Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Chiusi, Città della Pieve, Deruta, Montefalco and Montepulciano, as well as the impressive nearby Castiglione del Lago fortress and Lake Trasimeno with its unique islands and many sporting, dining and cultural activities.
4 km from the villa is the famous Lamborghini Golf Club, a 9-holes golf course created by Ferruccio Lamborghini on his estate between Panicale and the shores of Lake Trasimeno, with its 32 hectares of vineyards and its renowned Umbrian wines. We provide an exclusive wine tour and tasting at La Fiorita Estate. Enjoy sampling one of the most spectacular wines made in Italy and relax on the Lamborghini Restaurant terrace with outstanding panoramas. Special discounts on wines and tastings for our guests.
The property has its own fully private swimming pool with fabulous views, placed in a large park designed by the Italian landscape architect S. Ventura by Agrisophia Progetti Studio, Bologna, where guests can relax on its extra large sun loungers, and cook on the barbecue for dinners alfresco.
On the first floor of the villa, accesses through a separate and independent entrance with an original stone staircase, there are 3 double bedrooms with 4 en suite full bathrooms with shower, including a living room with an original open fireplace and equipped kitchen. Each bedroom is furnished with care with beautifully restored antique beds and furnishings.
Heating/conditioning, Satellite flat TV, free high speed WI-FI and window screens in the whole property. Private and safe parking.

Chiara is a spectacular host. She is always available and does anything to make your stay the best.
The house is large, clean, and comfortable. The showers were great with nice hot water and good pressure. The pool was a bit too cold for us to use much. The setting is lovely and the town of Panicale is a fun small place. The location is good for access to both Tuscany and Umbria.
I would have liked to have a TV in the main living room to watch as a group and the kitchen could use a few more pans.
It's a great place for a family, peaceful and quiet.

We have rented villas and apartments all over the world - this villa matches the best of the best of those rentals.
The villa was well laid out, well equipped and extremely comfortable. The villa is positioned in the valley but easily accessible to the centre of Panicale which is only a 5 minute drive or a short 30 minute walk up the hill (not too difficult for most abilities). Panicale has numerous eating options for every taste or wallet. There are so many options in the area to visit that would last many holidays - Casteligione di Lago, Paciano, Montefalco, Chuisi, Citta di Pieve and many more.
Our host Chiara was a delight, nothing was too much trouble and was available when required, but gave us total privacy. Her attention to detail and the quality of the villa was evident everywhere. Thank you so much Chiara - what a wonderful holiday.

Podere Molinaccio was a perfect place for a wonderful vacation with family and friends. The house is lovely; furnished with attractive antiques and original art, it was an inviting place to return to after a day of sight-seeing and driving around the hill towns. Chiara was very gracious and helped us with many arrangements, from rental cars to reservations at wineries, or dinner in Panicale, she was an excellent guide to local experiences. An extended stay is ideal, as the pace is relaxing yet there are so many beautiful towns and vistas to take in, a weekend is not enough.

From the moment we arrived we were really impressed with our choice of property. It was spotlessly clean and the house and gardens very well maintained. The outside space was huge and great for the kids, also lots of shade for those very hot summer days. The pool was wonderful, really clean and perfect temperature. Our host Chiara was lovely, so welcoming and helpful, nothing was a problem and she was always at the end of a text to offer advice when we needed the doctors or recommendations for restaurants or anything else you needed. Loved it here, Panicale and Paciano were beautiful villages too, would definitely recommend.
