Located in the Haut Béarn, on the border of the Basque country, in the valley of barétous, our two cottages are located at 400 m altitude, in an agricultural property (Bio), on the edge of a private forest and on the edge of green, river very popular with sinners.
Here is the paradise of birds, dozens of species rub shoulders. At the edge of the forest, near the river and in a preserved agricultural domain.
Small flat, they wake up at dawn and sing a charming and energizing alarm clock ...
We are in the land of the 4 seasons, you can choose yours ....
Same for nocturnal animals, a small flashlight and ... the adventure !!!

We discover this very nice cottage after a stay in Biarritz on French west Coast. We were looking for another nice place in nature. And when we found the Gites L'ostau, we knew that was a beautiful place with a lot of tree, a river, and a lot of meadows. We fell in love at the first sight.
Mado and Pierre are very welcoming and friendly. They could give you a lot of information for tourist visits.
The cottage has a lot of equipment. There is enough place for a big family. During the summer time, the nature is very attractive and if you like sport, you'll be happy, because there is a lot of hiking track, close to the river or in the beautiful surroundings mountains.
I recommend this wonderful place for couple or family.
