About this apartment rental
In the heart of Florence, a stone's throw from the living room of the city, the elegant Via Tornabuoni, the shopping street, there is an ancient tower house, from the 15th century.
A small elevator takes you to the top floor, and a sweet bell warns
of the arrival of the lift. The door opens, and you enter a fantasy world, where all bad thoughts are left out.
White Home surprises you and welcomes you with an amazing feeling tranquility, peace and silence, marked by the light that pervades each room.
In fact, light is the real protagonist and the first source of well-being: it guides them compositional choices and is enhanced by an ad hoc palette made of warm tones reassuring ranging from raw white-painted fir on the floors to ice-colored plasters, up to the furnishings delicately emphasized by shades ivory and turtledove, the gray of the lime paint on the walls, and the touches of
lavender curtains.
The space creates a soft, fluid atmosphere, made up of fragrances, candles, and vintage objects recovered in the markets.
White is the dominant color of the house, to which the romantic view alternates on the roofs of Florence, which can be admired from any environment.
It is exciting to have breakfast on the lovely balcony looking at rooftops, or
indulge in reading a good book immersed in an enchanted silence,
interrupted only by the sound of the horses' hooves passing through the center.
At sunset, there is a special magic: a particular play of lights in the
floor, makes it romantic and unique.
The architectural narrative is guided by the details and the revisited materials, which they bring back to memory with poetry, French suggestions.
This suspended atmosphere of peace is often sought after by writers looking for inspiration, artists but also directors and photographers: White Home, in fact, was the location set of many advertising campaigns, and today it is used exclusively for shooting, photoshoots, commercials and filming cinema, show cooking and private events.
All the furnishings in the house are also directed towards light: the furniture has been supplied by the Florentine company Riccardo Barthel (www.riccardobarthel.com), as well like the bathroom with shower, in black and white, perfect 1930s subway style.
The sofas, beds and curtains are by Bellora (www.bellora1883.com)
The Provencal style prevails in the kitchen: a large fireplace has been recovered creating a refractory brick work surface. The sink is in sandstone.
The bathroom with tub is from Devon & Devon (www.devon-devon.com).

The lift is very small and is accessed via a flight of stairs.
There are fans in the rooms and no air conditioning.

Excellent location and service. Host met us and helped us check-in after hours when our flight was delayed. Bathtub water temperature and pressure could be improved. Would consider adding more pillows for beds. Otherwise an excellent stay.

The property was quirky but very comfortable. The location was perfect. If I were to stay longer I would stay there. I could live in that apartment. For the next visitors I would suggest an easier way to make coffee, the drawers in the kichen do not work properly and you should have bottled water awaiting in the fridge. The terrace at both ends need some major TLC..A canopy over the little one and some decent seating arrangements. You have a little gold nugget. Needs some updating. The tile in the baths need to be cleaned up and painted. I have an amazing Video that you should use in your advertisement of the apartment. We put it on Instagram it has Italian music. Here is the message we sent to the property manager via the app. Didn’t receive a response to this final message, though they were responsive when issues were brought to their attention during the stay.

“Although the apartment is in a great location and beautifully decorated, the overall quality was below expectations for the price we paid.
One bathroom did not have a working shower/tub. The other bathroom only had hot water for approximately 24 hours after the handyman came to repair (twice). It was again not working the day before check out. We were able to take warm showers on 2 of the 6 days of our stay. Other days we had to use warm water from the sink in the other bathroom.
All dishes we used needed to be washed before we could use them, including the only 2 mismatched wine glasses.
No kitchen linens were provided; though when brought to your attention, we were given a giant roll of paper towels typically found in public facilities. We used a kitchen sponge and the one extra bath towel, to clean the dishes. We did not try to use the dishwasher since we suspected that was the cause of the dirty dishes and cutlery.
The number we were given at check-in to report problems never responded, though working through this app has been successful and we appreciate your help.
I would like to inquire about the possibility of a partial refund on the cost of our stay.”
