Seasonal Lake Information for Your Stay
Summer (May - Mid-September): The lake is typically fullest during this period. Guests will have access to Blackwood Lodge's private dock for their enjoyment. The neighborhood also has a 'beach' with additional access to the lake.
Fall/Winter (Mid-September - late April): The TVA controls the water levels for Douglas Lake. In the fall and winter months, they lower the water level, rendering the dock at Blackwood Lodge unusable. Blackwood Lodge's rental rates are priced accordingly throughout the year to account for the lost lake amenity. There are plenty of hiking trails and even a petting zoo in the neighborhood, along with the nearby attractions of Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. The house has a heated indoor pool, hot tub, plenty of outdoor spaces with two fire pits and corn hole, stocked board games, arcade games, and plenty of fun.

We enjoyed our stay here! Property was in a lovely neighborhood of newer, multi-level homes just far enough outside town and up the mountain to make it feel like a true getaway. Clean & stocked with plenty of dishes, linens/towels, etc. for our group of 10. Gorgeous views, lake access, slide, paddle boards/kayaks, multiple decks, pool, hot tub, & game room made it extra fun. Owner was responsive to messages during our stay. Recommend.

Great Host communications very safe for kids around the pool area combination locks home was very clean inside and outside fishing is great off of the dock we caught several small mouth bass , catfish and turtles The hospitality was impeccable overall I'm a frequent visitor of this lake area in lake homes I was beyond impressed

Great view and stay even though lake was low. Owners were fast and great if we had any issues. Would recommend.
