Casa Colibri Coqueta

Very private, peaceful & beautiful home and property about 10 mins outside of La Fortuna. The home is well stocked with anything you might need. Outside pool area with hammocks is made for relaxing!! AC worked very well! Individual bedrooms off the pool allow for much privacy but they are only accessible from the pool area and not from within the main house. The grounds keeper showed me a two and three toed sloth that lives on the property. Highly recommend.

What a great place! We saw the sloths multiple days and loved the pool and hot tub. The rooms were large and everything was perfect. We will want to stay here again.

The property was beautiful and private. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. The highlight was the pool and hot tub. The outdoor overhang allowed for lounging outside even when it was raining - super relaxing with a good book or to sit at the table and play games while listening to the rain. The fact that the bedroom entrances are outside of the main house is not ideal for families with younger children. Also, there is no bathroom in the main house so you have to go out to your bedroom. Communication with the owner wasn't the best. It took up until the day of the reservation to get a link to the property location. The link did not work and it was hard to get in touch with the owner to get a working link. We didn't know that the property is about 15 minutes from downtown Fortuna until we got the link. The location on the vrbo is misleading. It was our first day in the country so a bit unsettling, but it eventually all worked out. There is an electronic pdf sent by email with videos to watch how to work things in the house. It would have been nice if these instructions were also provided in a hard copy at the house instead of having to look things up (especially when wifi is spotty). The owner seemed annoyed whenever we'd ask questions.
