BEACH ACCESS
Casa Playa is located on the north side of West Beach Boulevard, directly across the street from the beach and you can see the beach! You have beach access at the 12th (3 mins,
POOL? You bet!
BIG outdoor pool (shared only between the two sides). 30x18x3-5' rectangular bit of bliss!
PARKING
There is available onsite parking for at least 6 cars per side. More if you park under then home and stack carefully. Just share nice with the neighbors!
WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.
No smoking please. No pets.

The host is absolutely fantastic - great communications before, throughout, and after - given enough of a heads up about what was in the home for use to be able to plan ahead and bring or order anything else we might need. A regular size washer and dryer was an amazing feature to have! Two dishwashers were super great, as well. It was a very enjoyable stay

We had a wonderful time at the Casa Playa East in Gulf Shores!!! This duplex is an awesome place to accommodate larger groups with 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms..the West side offered the same number of bedrooms/baths and you could access that side through a joining door if you rent both sides...this would be great for a family reunion! The kitchen was large and open to both living areas and was amply fitted with dishes/utensils and pots & pans. Plenty of towels were supplied and there was a washer & dryer on the 2nd level which was a central location to most of the bedrooms. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony and was pleasantly surprised to see both a Keurig and regular coffee pot to use. We loved the pool which was large and had plenty of chairs to accommodate our group of 8 adults. It was just a short walk across the street to the beach, although you could see the beach and water from the balconies. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and I would highly recommend this unit if you are looking for a nice, clean place that will accommodate a large group. Each side will sleep 24 people and there are parking spaces for several vehicles. I was very impressed at how well the owners did with keeping in touch and providing information that would be helpful from the booking time to check in and even afterwards. Great place, great people to work with equals a GREAT vacation!

Everyone one of us loved the place. Plenty of beds and spacious for all. We only saw 1 thing wrong our closet handle was hanging off so my husband tried to screw it back in and it is stripped not a huge deal but would be nicer to rent a place that things are not falling apart for the price we paid. All and all it was a very nice place. The jacuzzi tub in the second floor master bedroom did not have a stopper so it could not be used and would have been nice to use it. The exterior sliding doors especially the shared deck did not lock but did have security bars. The kitchen is stocked with anything you need, especially for a large family on a multi day vacation.
