3 Bedroom apartment close to ny city, parking, tv in bed rooms and living

This had a very nice set-up for a family. It had plenty of dishes, pots, and appliances. The location was great for visiting NYC. It's directly on a bus route that goes into New York and within walking distance to both a Walmart and an Aldi (as well as several fast food places).The host was flexible, friendly, and responsive. He was quick to respond when I contacted him about a nonfunctional can-opener and the lack of an oven mitt. It was odd and slightly uncomfortable to have the host access the unit for private purposes while we were staying there, however (he uses part of the unit for personal storage and needed something out of it for his own aims during our stay). The main downside of the unit was the quality of housekeeping, particularly in the kitchen. Many of the dishes and utensils were dirty when we pulled them out. There was food residue (crumbs, etc.) in the bottoms of drawers. There were mouse traps and mouse/insect sticky papers in the kitchen cabinets and the oven drawer. We found trash (like large empty candy boxes) under the living room furniture when it was moved for the host to access his storage. There was grime on many of the floors, particularly around the baseboards and near the corners of rooms.This really is a great alternative place to stay if you're looking to visit New York on the cheap and/or with a family. The cleanliness issue is one that can be easily addressed by the host in the future to make this a truly outstanding stay.

Fantastic location about 15 minutes from American Dream Mall, which is what we came to do with the kids for the weekend. We really spend minimal time at the house, so great value for the price. Ice maker in fridge does not work, and we could not get one of the TVs to work in the bedroom. Plenty of toilet paper. No paper towels. Kitchen was adequate for basic cooking. Would absolutely stay here again!

Cesar quickly responded to my questions. Comments I have: there were no hand towels or paper towels for the kitchen or bathroom; and the night traffic is loud and never ending. Although, after the first sleepless night, the ceaseless traffic couldn't keep me up on the second night. We had to drive to Columbia U to take part in a ballroom dance competition for the weekend, and the trip to and from was quick and easy! Thank you for that.

When we checked in, there was no toilet paper or paper towels anywhere, and it took a few hours for the host to respond and drop them off. It doesn't seem that huge a deal, until you pee in a strange house and city and have no way to wipe. The house wasn't very clean. The baseboards had a layer of dirt and dust. But the real issue and reason for the rating was the fake eyelashes I found in the sheets I was sleeping on. No one I had in that house even owns a pair, so this means the sheets were obviously never cleaned. Disgusting and not acceptable. The location was great. The house was fine as far as layout, size, and temperature. No toiletries in the bathroom, and there's really nothing for tv channels either.
