On the first level, two king master bedrooms, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room are havens for peaceful rest between Cape Hatteras Island adventures. This property was just what we were looking for. Access to the beach is right across from the property. Pool was warm. Very relaxing. Peaceful. Quiet. Home away from home. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us. Ohhh and the new arcade was awesome specially for us adults. Took us back.

Fantastic view - there is an empty lot across the street so the views are phenomenal.
Great location - beach access is one house down and the house is right across from Food Lion and the shopping plaza.
Good space - house is very roomy. There is seating for 14 at the kitchen table and there are two other tables for gaming. Bathrooms are dated but completely functional.
New game room - very nice. Had an extra refrigerator which was helpful. The kids and adults had a great time competing on the pac-man machine.
Pool - used more than expected. Never had a personal pool at the beach before. It was great. A few days the wind was blowing too hard to be in the beach in the afternoon. It was great to have the pool as a backup.
Kitchen supplies need some work - Great amount of dishes and glasses and silverware which was wonderful. But, a lot of the pots and pans were damaged and not usable. In addition, there were no kitchens towels and no hot pads.
Thermostat issue - The guest cannot change the thermostat setting at all. It is locked. My sister was in the bedroom over the game room and it was freezing. We called to ask for authority to change it but were told no. They said they would change it on their end, but my sister continued to freeze all week.
House was not clean ! There was dried food on the outside of the cabinets. Inside the cabinets was worse. We washed everything before we used it. One of the countertops was covered in filth. This is a house that allows dogs, so you expect some fur. However, it did not appear that there had been any attempt to vacuum the couch. In the master bedroom, there are cushions on two chairs that were covered in dust and not usable.

The house is in the perfect location, unfortunately we experienced continued issues with the temperature of the AC. The thermostats are locked and controlled by the homeowner, the master bedroom would not go below 73 which was uncomfortable sleeping. The homeowner refused to turn it below 71, even at 71 the bedroom was at 73 and would not allow us to control them. Also some safety issues that might affect families with small kids. ( No lights outside to pool , exposed wires in house, expsosed sharp edges on stair case, screens missing, no gates on decks ).
