Stone built detached house. Kitchen, hallway and living room with fireplace. Large bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed, and a bathroom. It has a lovely veranda overlooking the endless green and garden.The house is located in the traditional village of Stavroxori 7Km from the nearest beaches of Koutsouras and Makry Gialos about 10 minutes away.
The village has plenty of taverns with exellent and affordable food.

Stavrochori is a village of Lassithi prefecture, built at an altitude of 313 meters. It has about 150 inhabitants and belongs to the Municipal Community of Makry Gialos of the Municipality of Ierapetra. His oldest name was Stravodoxari.Above the village are rocky mountains with pines and olives, and underneath there is a river ravine that in many places becomes a canyon. From various parts of the village looking at the sea below Koutsouras, left and right you have the mountain slopes that create a breathtaking scenery.
The village has stone-paved alleys that point to island landscape and lead to a small square in Mesohoria, where there is a Panagia Church and a mini market. Fifty meters further, there is the central square of the village, the "Platanos" covered with thick foliage of the ancient plane tree and a mulberry tree. In the three traditional taverns of the village that are there, the visitor can enjoy traditional Cretan dishes at very good prices.
Throughout the area there are hiking trails, among beautiful gorges, dense vegetation, natural water springs and picturesque chapels. At the same time, the beaches of southern Crete such as Galini, Machairidi, Kalamokanias, Makry Gialos and Daskkari are within a short distance (ten to twenty minutes) and are considered among the best in Crete. Opposite this point of Crete there are two small islets, Porfyra and Chrissi, where every day (one of Ierapetra and the other from Makri Gialos) goes on a boat for a one-day visit during the summer months.
The house is also offered for winter because of its good construction, heating and fireplace. Apart from the above, visitors can also attend or participate in rural and agro-tourism activities as the village residents are kind and willing to serve.Sightseeing: The gorge of Mylonas with the vertical cliffs and the deep ravine is a miracle of nature.
The picturesque valley of Cool is a special attraction with abundant running crystal clear waters that come out of the viscera of the mountain.
