Marina Port de Québec 3 - Maison flottante

The houseboat was well situated in the marina and very clean and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive. The houseboat is across the water from old town so you have a wonderful view. With the air conditioning, we were very comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable. We did not use the couch to sleep on. The houseboat is quite a ways down the dock so if you have trouble walking, this would not make sense for you.

Beautiful view of the city, quiet except for first morning when construction crews were working very close by. Well stocked and clean place to stay. The only thing we did not like was the toilet and wish it could have been described better in the notes of the rental. Several of our family members made the walk to the marina office to use the facilities instead that actually had a proper flush.

Beautiful setting and tranquil. We used the marina’s toilets. It is loud with industrial sounds from 7:30 on.

We loved the coziness of the house and the fabulous view of iconic Old Quebec City. Parking was free, but a bit of a hike from the boathouse. Also, the toilet model is very touchy, but our host came right away to fix it once, and then I was able to work with it the rest of the week. If you enjoy a good walk/hike, the boathouse is walking distance to many places, including a bike rental and the iconic Chateau de Frontenac. Communication was excellent with Yves and the Port office staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again, but unless you travel super light, plan to use a cart to load and unload from your car to the boathouse.
